Nice. I've been wanting this on br for awhile. The run time on this site and amazon.uk indicate the release will be for the theatrical cut. I'll most likely wait until which cut is being released before I order this.

OT- Ripley, this may be another reason for you to bite the bullet and get a region free player.

Love this movie. It's very entertaining flick and it was a pleasant surprise for me. Naturally, I'm rooting for decent video presentation.

+1...the preorder is a good price, but I dunno, this transfer could either be startling for the moody photography (in a good way) or muddy

On facebook, it's been confirmed that the bluray is the theatrical cut and they are including the SD version of the director's cut. I'm bummed out, the director's cut is the only version to watch.

101 says that it has the Clive Barker commentary. I don't see it being the theatrical cut.

Was really looking forward to this, but with the news that the Director's Cut is only in SD, and have no interest in the theatrical version, so I'll just have to stick with my German dvd of the DC.

I'm buying this almost blind having watched once years ago. Is there is big difference between the two cuts? Is it a big difference almost like two different films or a major plot whole filled in the dir cut?

The DC is around 12 mins longer. There are a few new scenes. Two running roughly 2 mins each, 4 mins and 1min. The other 3 mins are shorter scene extensions and added gore.

Not sure. It hasn't been made clear. Probably on 1 blu-ray though, with the DC being an upscale.

Couldn't they have inserted the SD director's cut footage into the HD theatrical cut, or would that have been too expensive? This is one of those films where the differences are so significant that releasing the film in edited form is almost pointless.

I don't have a multi-region player. And this was almost half the cost.

The cheap German edition of this is just the DC in HD and has all the Shout extras.
