Let's discuss the draw and your opinion about it. Any posts deviating from that in a negative way will be unapproved going forward.

But hey, why let that stand in the way of your elitist crap?
You like or not it's called football but i guess you know nothing about the sport .

It all depends where you are from. The fact of the matter is that in the United States and Canada, soccer is not typically called football. Football is a whole different sport, that is also much more popular in our neck of the woods. Different areas of the world have different names for things. There is no reason to get bent out of shape about this, it's just the way it is.

Haha! You've got a good ranking, but it's still a while away. Good luck though!

Holland has got a younger team with some great talent, but I think we're weak in the back. Could be an issue, but I think we'll go through.

Should be fun. I ordered the Euro package (all the games) from Bell last time and I hope they offer it again. I think I might fall sick during that time as well.

Much like the Olympics, I love the spectacle of the World Cup. It's that time when everyone can be unapologetically patriotic in their cheering for their respective nation. They are proud of their national teams, and they should be! Seeing thousands of Americans with our beautiful flag draped over their shoulders literally brings tears to my eyes. And I know citizens of other nations has the same reaction, I can't be alone!

USA!! All the way, baby!!!

Great post Moviefan! I agree. I was born in The Netherlands and am very proud of my heritage. I am also a Canadian citizen and have been for over 40 years and am just as proud to call myself Canadian. Serving 2 Masters one might say....I'm ok with that!

A terrible World Cup in the end for me (I'll watch it and enjoy it - don't worry)! First the agonizing 2-2 draw in injury time against Italy resulting in our elimination and then the play-off elimination of both Nordic neighbors Iceland and Sweden as well as Burkina Faso (a country to which my family has close connections). It seems we are always on the edge of qualifying or failing - the European qualifiers are damn tough! Lots of good teams missing out as well as Zlatan!

Well played by Bosnia though! Very, very impressive!

Denmark got screwed in that group mate but surely Bentdner's antics and his suspension from the Danish F.A. ended up costing ya's dearly.

I would have been backing you's boys so now I will just hope for a good tournament.

I'm going for Belgium.

They've got a very exciting team, full of top class players.

If there's a Cinderella team, Belgium would be my choice as well.

I believe England's loss to Germany (in the previous World Cup) was karma for what happened in the 1966 World Cup
