Here's a couple of pics of some of the family's hauls. First up mine:
![]() My daughter's: ![]() My son's: ![]() And last up - the annual pickups at the Boxing Day sales: ![]() We snagged the "showering" LEDs I was talking about in my first round of pics so they'll be included in the light setup above the garage for next Christmas. Also got another ropelight Santa and a replacement lot of regular multi-coloured LEDs. All for $30. That means next year we'll be going for the Santa for above the gable. |

And the winner of the limited edition Christine Blu-ray is:
atexp80!! The multi-coloured window illumination displayed by this member was very unique, and not too over the top, which I really liked. I also felt that the Christmas tree was very classy, with a nice colourful mixture of traditional christmas ornaments, and excellent symmetry - a very impressive display all around. The best international entrant, taking home the Man of Steel blu-ray is: Lukesablade!! The white Christmas tree with subtle and classy decoration was very unique, and stood out from the other entries. The decoration shined in but didn't dominate the cosy area in which it was placed, showing a good use of the available space. It provided inspiration for decoration of a smaller space, which could be useful for myself and others who don't have a lot of room. And the winner of the runner up prize (Bilbo/Gollum statue) goes to: Ghostwhowalks! What can I say... this colourful entry showed originality and creativity, and an excellent use of what we are all here for - blu-rays. I thought this at least deserved to be the runner up. Thanks to everyone who entered, my fiancee and I had a lot of fun going through the pictures and deciding on the winners ![]() If the winners could please provide their details via PM it would be appreciated, and I will follow up in the next day or so if I haven't heard anything. |

You sir are a legend. Thank you very much!
![]() ![]() We don't spend heaps of money at Christmas but we always try to make sure everyone gets something nice and that we get to spend some quality time with family. Thanks for picking our attempt at a Merry Christmas! I can certainly say that as a major fan of John Carpenter and as one who had missed out on securing a copy of Christine from Twilight Time you have made this fan VERY happy. Seeing as though that title is one that would set you back quite a bit on the private market I definitely appreciate you doing this. Cheers! It will definitely be welcomed and watched regularly! Congrats to everyone else as well and to all who entered and shared their Christmases. Nice to see everyone celebrating life, family and good times in general. |

Wow. This was totally not expected. Congratulations to the other winners and everyone else who participated. Special thanks to Cevolution for putting on a great competition.
Coincidentally, we'd just put on The Lord of the Rings when I received the notification of my win. lol ![]() |

I've decided that I'm going to do a Christmas giveaway again this year, which will commence in the coming weeks. This time I will make it easier, no posting of photos will be required to enter, there will just be a question to answer. This will be up for grabs:
![]() Like last time, I will probably offer some other prizes as well, though I'm not sure what they will be yet. |

Without further delay...
The comp starts now, and will end at midnight Sydney time on January 1st 2016. There will be three prizes, which are: ![]() ^ The Twilight Time release of John Carpenter's Vampires ![]() ^ The Japanese versions of Dredd 2D and The Untouchables (which has lossless audio unlike all other versions released around the world). Both are region B compatible. ![]() ^ and the local Steelbook of Star Wars: episode II Attack of the Clones. The first prize winner can select their prize, and the second place winner will be able to chose from the two remaining options. To enter, all you need to do is post your favourite scene or score/song from a movie (this can be a YouTube video if available), and state why it's your favourite. The winners will be those with the most original answers. All entries from Australian and New Zealand members are welcome, as with last time there will be no bias. Good luck. |
