Transformers 1.... the beginning starting where the chopper lands and transforms. Great sound from high to low with plenty of activity from all speakers.

I use the beginning IMAX scene of Dark Knight or one of the Lord of the Rings movies. Tron Legacy and the Kill Bills are a good choice too.

I also use a number of old films to show people how much better older films look in HD: 2001 Space Odyssey, Yojimbo, Outlaw Josey Wales, Once Upon a Time in the West.

Unfortunately I don't have surround so I can't show off my sound.

Band of Brothers has some of the best audio i've ever heard. especially the Bastone forest bombardment scenes, its war on your speakers and subs so you might have to check your drivers after

Ramo 4 - the bomb in the jungle and the 50 cal. shootout at the end

U571- Depthcharged scene

Super 8 train scene

The Hulk - campus scene

Coverfield and War of the Worlds are also solid audio demos

Pixar/Disney movies are great movies to demo as well. Finding Nemo (Darla tapping) is a great bass demo.

This should be made a sticky. It gives one an opportunity to view movies from a different perspective.

Act of Valor, when the 2-boats with the belt fed machine guns arrive at the pick up point. My dual 12" subs rock in my 7.2 set up!

Just for information sake -- There are several Blu-Ray Demo discs that can be downloaded for free and and either burned to a DVD-DL or a full BD50 disc or played directly from an external hardrive (PS3 or OPPO) that for the most part have most of the suggested movie clips.

I will go ahead and add Ender's Game to this thread! Wonderful use of colors including black level detail and the 7.1 sound is awesome! This will give your speakers a workout that is for sure!

I appreciate this mention. It's always been one of my favorite scenes in Transformers because it's from the very beginning before we knew how the others would turn out. Plus so many other Transformers scenes are mentioned before this one.

Thumbs up The Incredible Hulk...

This is my go-to, demo disc, for adjusting my audio, and when I want to slam a visitor, with an absolutely, engaging audio experience..

3.) THE END-FIGHT WITH ABOMINATION: When the two goliaths are at a fever pitch, and Abomination asks Gen. Ross "any last words?" Then Hulk chimes in ; "HULK...SMASH!!!!" Awesome.

2.)THE COLLEGE CAMPUS SCENE: When Banner Hulks-out, then busts out-of the vestibule, rising high in the sky, then landing to the ground, all the while, his grumbling, menacing growl, is ever present.

1.) BANNER'S FIRST HULK-OUT, IN BOTTLE FACTORY: Well played like a horror film, Banner's transformation slowly shows Hulk piece by piece; silhouette, amidst, foggy backdrop, then shadowy, lurching figure stomping through the environment.... then finally turning toward camera to growl-menacingly, at Blonsky.

Bonus: when being fired upon by soldiers, Hulk turns and stomps on the wasted artillery...

I use Tron:Legacy especially since I got my projection setup. It is really awesome once he enters the grid to see the image open up and fill the screen in all its glory.

Default Star Trek

I use Star Trek Into Darkness
The Intro to the movie has great color & the sound track covers across the spectrum from heavy base to great surround.

Most disc that can be downloaded can be found at AVSForum and there will be one Cinemascope demo disc available for download at Demo-World soon.

I'm not sure if I can post links at this site but here it is -- mods feel free to delete the link if needed or let me know if I have to delete it.

AVS http://www.avsforum.com/t/1475769/de...ently-authored

Demo-World http://www.demo-world.eu/forums/topi...ray-demo-disc/

These discs have most of the material suggested and makes it a lot easier to have everything in one disc.

Tron Legacy is my favorite demo movie as well. Great dynamics and awesome flick.

Another would be Games of Thrones Season 2- The scene when the fleet of ships blow up from the wildfire. INCREDIBLE

I noticed this when I watched it and man my rear surrounds came alive! Pretty good audio track for a 1988 movie.
