So next year in 2015, 'Back to the Future' will celebrate it's 30th Anniversary.
'Back to the Future Part II' will be the year in which Marty and Doc travel into the future; October 21, 2015. And 'Back to the Future Part III' will celebrate it's 25th Anniversary. Myself and many BTTF fans are trying to convince Universal that they need to re-issue the films on Blu-ray in 2015, as they have not been available individually yet in North America. There are a lot of things planned amongst the BTTF fan community next year, as well as a boat load of new merchandise. I know that offering the films again on Blu-ray with the same material isn't much of an upgrade by any means, but perhaps Blu-ray collectors and movie fans could give some ideas of what else they would like to see on these potential discs. Of course, a 4K transfer of each film would be the ultimate, but I doubt Universal would even be bothered. But you never know. Also with 2015 being such a landmark year, it would be nice if Universal could also release 'Back to the Future: The Animated Series' onto disc. It was on the list to be released in the mid-2000's, but never happened. As a BTTF fan, it's something I want in my collection. |
