For those of us who have never owned this - how is the transfer quality?

I don't know the tech specs on this particular movie, but most of these over-the-top films by Nishimura are relatively low budget (consumer grade equipment) and shot and edited very quickly. I've always been a fan of them, but they definitely have that "1080p camcorder" look. Watching on a 65" OLED and an oppo 4k player, I felt the issues stood out more. It seems to be a mix of digital noise, sharpening and noise reduction, possibly mixed with a 720p or 1080i source. It's definitely passable and better than a DVD, but that's about it. With that said, most of these movies don't need to be an amazing transfer to be entertaining. I'd probably rate it around a 3/5 |

Guess I'm glad I didn't preorder this then since it seems to be practically the same disc... Thank you guys so much for posting and giving us a heads up. The disc starting in the same spot even when swapping discs out was weird as well!
