^ That kicked my ass. Sadly, I doubt the new movie will be as cool as that was.

It really saddens me that we now live in a culture so juvenile we see a fun, campy, for kids property and think it's somehow "improved" by skin deep "edgy" aesthetics like gore, hardcore drug abuse and nudity. I hope to God Hollywood realise this is everything Power Rangers should never be.

Seriously. That was terrible and shows how immature most people really are that they actually want to corrupt a children's property like this.

Interesting.

It shows that the series can be done with a more serious/less cheese vibe to it when they make the new film.

Outside of that though, it was Power Rangers in name only, which it wasn't really meant to be much more than that according to the director. It was made with the idea of making people say, "I can't believe they did that". Mission accomplished.

When I watched it I was surprised that JDF wasn't in it at first, but then I saw the rest of it and thought, "Yea, this is why he isn't part of it"

Turns out he actually turned down being in it.

^ @ all of this.

I don't think any fans actually want a PR film like that at all... I've been a fan since day 1 and still am. It's just a fun fan film that was cool. Nothing more and nothing less.

Heard some really great things about Dino Charge, which is really refreshing given the abysmal crap Saban has been pumping out since it took back the franchise.

I have to say, after watching the first couple of episodes, I'm really impressed. It still isn't as good as some of the highlights of Disney's time with the franchise, but after Megafarce and Samurai it's so nice to see a Power Rangers series again with its own story, with actual original footage and a cast who can act.

It's crap. PR died after Wild Force. Stick to Sentai.

What? No, Dino Thunder and SPD are quite good and I heard Dino Charge is good. It sure as hell has to be better than Kyoryuger though just for the fact that it doesn't have Mr Perfect Daigo.

Kyoryuger is one of the best modern Sentai. Watch the entire series, it's really epic and dramatic. Especially compered to the failure that is NinNinger.

Kyoryuger had way too much filler for my tastes, my friends gave me a "plot relevant" version of the series so I could watch it that way and if I remember it was only like 15 episodes. Pretty damn awful.

I did watch Kyoryuger in its entirety and it was simply not that great of a show. It was great at the time because we were coming off the dreadfully boring Go-Buster, but the show should have been called Daigo and His Rainbow Colored Lackeys because that is all it was. Nossan and Uchy were the best characters and even they were on screen for a fraction of the time Daigo was. Hell, Daigo fought the big boss on his own at the end, WTF?! Not to mention the forced in
[Show spoiler]love crap with Daigo and Amy that just suddenly showed up in the final episode
.

I love Gokaiger, but there hasn't been a truly phenomenal Sentai series since Gekiranger and before that it was Abaranger.

That can't be right because Kyoryu was a lot more plot driven than other series. However, most Sentai series are like that. The only one that really isn't filler heavy is Dairanger, but it does still have filler.

Most Sentai shows are 50% filler and 50% story. That is just how it is. That is how any year long show is. It is one of the worst aspects when Gundam is 50 episodes.

My top 10 Sentai series are:

1. Dairanger
2. Kakuranger
3. Zyuranger
4. Gekiranger
5. Carranger
6. Abaranger
7. GoGoV
8. Jetman
9. Timeranger
10. Gokaiger or Gingaman

Yeah, the filler eventually really turned me off of sentai. Power Rangers never got as stale for me as those series are usually around thirty episodes, which makes them nearly half the length of your average sentai when you add in all the extra specials and stuff. Power Rangers still has filler, especially the Saban stuff, but I never find it dragged nearly as much as shows like Kyo, Dairanger, Shinkenger etc

Unpopular opinion I realise but Goseiger is probably my favourite sentai because it used multiple rogue galleries with different dynamics, so the series was always able to get over its slumps.

Really more of a Kamen Rider guy myself all in all, though.

Changeman, Flashman, Maskman, Dairanger, Gingaman, GoGoV, Timeranger, Abaranger, Shinkenger, Gekiranger, and Kyoryuger are the best of Sentai.

Not sure what any of you anti-Kyoryuger ppl are talking about. Awesome plot, not too much filler, and it had great dramatic moments.
