Amazon doesn't typically ship Warner Archive releases on the Warner Archive release date. They haven't even had a date up for it yet. I'd expect it to start shipping later in the week, though - I think the "Beware the Batman" release shipped within the week, but I could be wrong.

I got mine on Thursday from WB Shop. There are some great promo codes and they are selling it for 24.95. I posted a review. No 5.1 but the video is stunning and when you select a Neo Cinema decode of the DTS-HD MA stereo you get discreet sounds from each speaker. I have watched all 9 1/2 hours and am pretty happy for less than $25.

![]() BTW on the worldsfinestonline message boards, someone mentioned that Giancarlo Volpe and Jim Krieg were thinking about making some kind of commentary so we can play them while watching the series, here's the link to the post: http://www.toonzone.net/forums/dc-an...ml#post4225617 I hope they can do it, it sounds awesome ![]() Anyway, I finally received my shipping notice from Amazon a few hours ago, so I should be getting it by next week, in the meantime I'm listening the soundtrack of the series, Frederik Wiedmann did a phenomenal job with the score, it raised the series to epic proportions ![]() |

I have heard a lot of different surround decodes from analog tracks, but since this is a pure DTS HD-MA stereo track at 48 kHz the DTS Neo Cinema mode works to perfection. The Dolby ProLogic II was good too but a little different. I actually walked around and listened to various parts from each speaker and the dialog only came from the center channel. Other sounds only came from the surrounds.
If the creators are passionate enough, which we can see from the series, why not just webcast it. The studios always have some legal disclaimer anyway. I would watch a bunch of them hanging out with a webcam or play the audio on the computer while an episode in on my HDTV. 3/30 Just watched Dave with a DTS Stereo track in Neo Cinema and since that was mixed so long ago the dialog wavers from the center channel to the L & R so it really depends on the quality of the mix. It didn't even come close to how dynamic GLS is. Last edited by mongojr; 03-30-2014 at 10:45 PM. Reason: further research |
