+1

May we get flooded with steelbooks this year.

Saving Private Ryan and Hunt For Red October are a MUST have for me...how did you guys search for it on their website? I don't mind paying a little extra now and getting them to adjust later...

I agree and disagree...some of these films are so rare on steelbook, or only available if imported and that can get rather costly...the fact that we're getting some catalog titles here in the US makes me very happy...SVP is one of my all-time fav films and the fact it can now finally be had in steelbook for a relatively inexpensive price is thrilling to me...I have the amaray "sapphire editon" already but to me this is worth it buying the steelbook...

way to many steelbooks now ( why not just release ever movie in a steelbook)

they should start putting 1 out of say 3000 of them or some them have them numbers make them better or some thing just to many steelbooks of movies that are all ready released which sucks

Confirmed at HDN, these aren't Steelbooks, they are Metalpaks.

Deep Impact might still be a pickup for me. They had potential to really set the US market up in a roar. Bah. Glad I got my play.com WoTW :-D

Do you realize this is the US? Home of the "Moar Moar Moar" mentality.

I think the number of MetalPak collectors in the US just went up.

Dang it. I have every one of these movies already. Can't really justify buying them again just for cool packaging. Ah, well.

FWIW, I still may pick up a few. I am not really a fan of how the spine looks on the metal pack case, but for this price I may be able to get by that.

Foreign versions that have embossing (MI, TF3, WotW) blow these out of the water. Some can be/were just available to purchase from Zavvi for just a little bit more than these prices. I would recommend going that route.

I will check and see if my store has any that I don't already own. Maybe like Patriot Games, Hunt for Red October.

Yeah, at this point I may be getting just those two also...I am just not a fan of the metal pack spine. The lettering is not centered on the spine width wise and the don't like seeing the plastic clips...one of the biggest reasons I will not get the Target version of IM2.

I was hoping to replace my German Saving Private Ryan steelbook with a US one. Oh well... no steelbook=no sale.

Oh ick. Me no likey the video featuring Metalpaks. Those spines are ugly.

Guess I will be importing the UK steel of SPR this summer sometime.

That means I have zero interest in the US steelbooks or "steelbooks" that are being released in May.
