Arrow - Season 2 is still available at other UK vendors like zaavi.com. "The Americans Season 2" is a FOX production and FOX has stopped releasing a lot of shows on Blu-Ray recently. Warner on the other hand releases pretty much every show they got on the air. So it's not very likely that they no longer releasing the show on Blu-Ray.

Exactly. This is Arrow its also one of warners most sold shows so that its out of production does not make any sense when you can still get season 1 and the bundle set with both seasons. This must be some weird glitch

I'd be very surprised if it was a glitch in Amazon's system, it's all automated, and there's probably a reasonably frequent audit system in place at their warehouse, to catch stock they have that isn't in the system or stock they don't have that is. If Amazon had any, they'd more than likely be up on the site, especially after the error was reported.

Therefore we can assume the problem is probably supply issues. Only a few things could cause supply issues:
  • Problems at a replicator
  • Problems at a supplier/Warner UK
  • Warner UK letting the supply dry up

Which of the three is more likely, given it is the only release affected? I'd say the later, but I'd be surprised if Warner UK are letting it go permanently OOP, perhaps it's temporary until they can sort another run?

I think it is a glitch, if Amazon had dropped it on purpose then the third-party sellers would still have it. At the moment they can't sell it either, the chances of all parties not having any copies is slim.

They seem to be a bit slow resolving the issue but to be honest I'm starting to dislike their site more than usual, it takes ages to load (you can't type in the search bar until the page loads like you could before), they're slowing down their own store with their own bloody adverts and the search results are usually useless (and why you can't omit used items is beyond me?)!

Sounds to me like Amazon are saying the item got pulled from their site, the question is why...

Season 2 appears to be missing from Zavvi though.

Unfortunately my somewhat excessive doomsday OOP prediction seems somewhat more likely...

From Amazon sellers not Amazon themselves (or it went OOS very quickly)...

Either way, I'm glad I picked up my copy from HMV on Saturday...
