Far Cry 4

I see in the PSN store there is a bundle deal for Far Cry 4 and Primal for $21 bucks.

Anyone recommend this? I loved Far Cry 3 but I don't recall a lot of buzz around 4 and Primal I know nothing about.

I assume Primal is just a small reskin like Blood Dragon.

Primal is a full game, not like Blood Dragon. it's pretty good, but not as good as Blood Dragon of course

I never played 3 or Blood Dragon, so I can't offer any comparison there. But 4 and Primal had plenty of "buzz". 4 was ranged best shooter of 2014 even. Sounds like the advertising doesn't transfer well to digital distribution. Both were great: good mechanics, very large, open world action/adventure games, with few, if any, bugs. 4 had a pretty good story too. I can't really recall Primal's story at the moment for some reason. But the game itself was a lot of fun. Of course that's from the perspective of someone who values single-player campaigns far above multiplayer. If multiplayer is more your thing, I don't even know if the games have a multiplayer.

If 4 includes the DLC, I'd even be tempted to pick them both up again at that price, despite being digital only, considering you can't find a decent deal on the complete edition of 4 anymore in physical format.

Cool, thanks for the feedback. No I'm not a multiplayer guy currently if it doesn't have single player feature I skip it as I only have very short time to play anymore and I've always preferred to play at my own pace.

The combo pack is just selling the plain jane versions of the games I'd have to go back and buy the added dlc which I wouldn't do.

No, Primal is not just a reskin. Primal is worth the $20. I enjoyed FC4, but I know many did not. Primal is a breath of Fresh air and very fun. I would get that for that game alone if I did not already own it.

I enjoyed Primal the most out of all of those. I get what Blood Dragon was going for, but the colors didn't work for me.

Primal is the first Far Cry game I played and I love it. It very fun.

I'm a big fan of open world gams, shooter or not, and I've played through all the FC games. I loved FC3, and I also really enjoyed FC4. If I had to vote I'd probably give 3 the edge, mainly from a story standpoint

[Show spoiler]because there were a few sequences in 4 that annoyed me, but they don't last too long, thankfully

. However, from a gameplay standpoint I couldn't pick one over the other (based on my memory of 3, at least).

While I do play some multi-player games, I'm still more of single-player guy at heart. Games like FC4 have a lot of replay value for me because I love to explore. And on that note, I've played through FC4 4 times now.

So you could say, for me at least, that $21 is a no-brainer.
