I can't imagine that they would cancel it. My pre-order is still standing too, and I pre-ordered back on May 16th.

The same thing happened with The LEGO Movie, I had pre-ordered it when it became available, then Amazon removed the option to pre-order, but I still got mine.

Just got done watching it! Really enjoyed it! About as much as The Muppets (2011).

Aside from a couple of nitpicky moments, for example some bad (and sometimes unnecessary) CGI in places, particularly towards the end. Also,
[Show spoiler]without spoiling too much, I was also puzzled by why Kermit was let off the hook at the end. Imagine if any other criminals tried getting out of prison that way!
Could've maybe done with a joke in the very opening scene on the street about how Gary/Mary are just their doubles cause they couldn't afford the actors. Seems like they made every other fourth wall joke in the book! XD

Also, mini rant here, but I also could've done without the brief One Direction reference at the start. I mean, I know they're like "the coolest thing" for little kids now, but it really seems like everything is now being tainted with referencing this tweeny band that's going to fade away in five years or so and date the film. Really wish this sort of media could manage not selling out to using/mentioning them so much.

BUT with all of that said, I thought this was actually one of the more solid Muppet films. It doesn't really have the heart that the 2011 film had, but it's definitely a hilarious film and feels very much in-line with the style of the other films (with a few small distractions). All of the songs were great and a lot of fun to listen to and watch. I still think The Muppet Movie is probably the all-round best Muppet Movie of them all, but I very much enjoyed this one.

MUPPETS MOST WANTED: 8/10
THE MUPPETS: 8/10
THE MUPPET MOVIE: 9/10
THE GREAT MUPPET CAPER: 7.5/10
THE MUPPETS TAKE MANHATTEN: 8/10
THE MUPPET CHRISTMAS CAROL: 8/10 (8.5/10 for the Extended Cut)
MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND: 7/10

I'll try and check out the extended cut tomorrow while the theatrical is still fresh on my mind. It's 12 minutes longer than the theatrical cut.

Will be checking out the extended cut tomorrow, but put on the initial song for a look just now and it looks like the extended scenes blend seamlessly into the film, which is a relief as that's not always the case. The opening song has some additional lyrics (Rolf has a hilarious lyric about a certain bad sequel XD ) and there's more dancing (bit unnecessary) and some hilarious extra "what will the plot be?" suggestions from the rest of the muppets. Again, Rolf has a hilarious comment.

Will watch the full movie tomorrow and comment on the most notable changes between the cuts.

Disney movie club was really helpful this month.

Got this and Disneynature: Bears for $38 shipped and combined with the $19 for Once Upon A Time Season 3, that really adds up to a great deal for 3 big releases this month.

With the theatrical edition fresh on my mind, I'm gonna comment on the most noticeable additions in the extended cut as I go through watching it.

[Show spoiler]- Rolf's lyric about "Godfather III" in "We're doing a sequel."
- Dance solo in the sequel song.
- Additional Muppet suggestions about what the movie's plot should be.
- Prison employee asks "why do we have an "open all doors" button. Constantine knocks them all out in the dark.
- Kermit reveals their "tour train" to the muppets. They are ecstatic. Then that train leaves the station and reveals their rubbish train behind it. Then we see that Beauregard will be driving, and he says it will be easy because there's no steering wheel!
- Once arriving in Germany, Kermit tells the gang they shouldn't spring into the huge venues straight away, and instead go from "small" to "slightly less small."
- At the beginning of the initial show, Christoph Waltz peeks out from behind the curtain when Scooter introduces him as "Australian star" and corrects him to "Austrian star". Scooter then says "cancel the australian dance number!" to the koalas offstage.
- After Kermit gets locked in the "big house", Tina Fey tells Kermit of Constantine's backstory while the lights flicker dramatically. XD
- An additional verse to Constantine's "I can give you anything" song. (More "you want a ______" "I'll give it to you" lyrics).
- Constantine practises karate and considers not doing the show. Ricky Gervais takes him aside and talks him into it. My words can't do this part justice. It's so juvenile but very well done. I'll leave this one a surprise. XD
- Alternate Statler and Waldorf comment on the intro of "El Muppet Show". (I might be wrong about this one.)
- After introducing the show, Constantine is prompted by Scooter to "wrap it up!" but then says, "wait! let me drink it in!" and enjoys the moment. XD
- Extended (I think) driving scene in the little car.
- More verses to the interrogation song, (i.e. Gonzo verse and possibly extended Piggy verse.)
- Additional Kermit angry rant when first addressing the prison choir.
- Additional scenes of Walter stalking Ricky Gervais.
- Additional Statler and Waldorf line after Rizzo/Robin's cameos.
- After the proposal, Camilla asks Gonzo when they will be getting married. Piggy and Kermit also have more dialogue here.
- A standup comedian is at Kermit's prison show. The muppet gang observe it.
- A literal "breaking the fourth wall" joke is made when planning the prison escape.
- Additional interaction between Kermit and Ricky Gervais before the wedding. Fozzie's comment about "you were like James Bond" makes a little more sense now.
- Cameo from a group called Disney Synergy or something. Scooter says "okay, see you soon!" Dunno, think it's an upcoming Disney Channel show or something.
- Kermit has a way to break out of the car, but Fozzie messes it up. Again, won't spoil it here.
- Callback made to "bear left" "right frog" from The Muppet Movie.
- Additional comments from the muppets realising that Constantine is not Kermit.
- Hobo Joe kisses the other two male muppet hobos on the lips. XD
- Ricky Gervais now labels himself as number one and Constantine as number two.

UPDATE: All done! Very good extended cut in my opinion! Couldn't see the joins between the theatrical edition and the new scenes.

Yep. The sheet sent by DMC in the mail says that this movie comes with three cuts of the movie.

Technically true, but the Statler and Waldorf cut is 1 minute 42 seconds long.

The text on it is too blurry to read but it does look like the DTS-HD High Resolution logo.
