I have the TT release signed by Mr. Hill. If anyone is interested in this PM me. I've had a hell of a time trying to find a collector with a home for it.

Hmm, so the German audio is not on the UK disc, even though the German subtitles and menus are there?

Studio Canal continues to author in strange ways, it seems...

There is a German lossless track, but only if the entire interface is set in German. It is not an option for the UK interface.

I will leave a note

They seem to have given up pricematching DVDs and BDs since Play.com rolled over.

Listening to Kavinsky's Nightcall this morning, I recalled that I am yet to watch the film that inspired DRIVE so borrowed it from a friend who owns this on StudioCanal blu. Brilliant film -you get what you expect from those retro 70s films. There is an intense car chasing scene in the begining that sets the story in motion. This along with Hill's another work The Getaway (1972) are some of the best 70s crime/action thrillers.

There's nothing wrong with UK artwork except rating logos and that tag line; Need to get this soon .

For those missing the TT's artwork- here it is . Hope I am not breaking any forum rules here. If Mods deem this as inapproriate thing to do here pertaining to copy rights issue, please delete this post.

The Getaway with Steve McQueen and Ali MacGraw? That’s a Peckinpah film.

Solid movie, though.

I just ordered this from Amazon. Love 70's films, but has yet to see this. It's 10 pounds at the moment, but doesn't come back in stock before the end of the month.

Yeah I'd been eying it up for ages, and ordered it a couple of weeks ago.

not sure if this extra scene really adds anything , or it's rather slows down the pace and that 's why it got cut

It also doesn't help that the extra scenes are from some ragged VHS-quality source. I guess those trims must of been trashed or missing.

I know in the 70s many films had many extra scenes filmed which were NOT in theater release but were used in extended TV cuts due to required runtime

for example 6 min extra scenes of Dirty Mary Crazy Larry

technically if this scenes were not in the final theater release or any sort of director's cut they are just that, deleted scenes and usually for good reasons and they all seem to slow down the pace

Yeah I'm sure The Warriors also had an extended TV version. Halloween as well but its TV cut was slightly different in that the scenes were filmed during production of Halloween II.

The practice wasn't uncommon into the 80s as well. The Thing, Halloween II, Dune, Star Trek II, A Nightmare on Elm Street all had extended TV cuts.

Neither link works. Are you saying the Studio Canal 4K is getting a UK release too?
