No remastered Clockwork no buy for me.
Also I really like how the Digibook of A Clockwork looks and we won't get that in the set.

WB needs people working in their home video division that actually love buying films and the knowledge of what it takes for a re-release to be worthwhile an enticing for fans to pay for it again. This Box set will sell, but in the en this is one of the laziest releases since Blu-Ray was born.
To be fair, Digitalbits writes that the new "solo Digibook" of A Clockwork Orange will also contain the old A/V transfer. It's not like WB is simultaneously issuing a superior version apart from the box set - both are the same.

well time to give a name to digibook releases like these.
with the Goodfellas release setting the precedent--"regular" bd case verion followed by digibook of SAME transfer, I think REVERSE DIGIBOOK release makes the most sense.
so "A Clockwork Orange" digibook release is another reverse digibook release.
consider the phrase coined.

Why no 2001 digibook? Get me wrong, BOTH are great classic films, but 2001 is much more popular and would benefit more with the book packaging.

What the hell? The digibook is exactly the same? Well, at least it saves me some money. I'll wait until Barry Lyndon and Lolita will be released separately, or import both.

Anyone know why the Amazon page doesn't feature a Digibook image?

I own all the current Kubrick movies so unless the boxset is fully remastered I'll have to pass. I've been waiting for BarryLyndon and Lolita

The digibook looks nice, but again if this is just the same movie with new packaging I'll pass. I wish WB would spend more effort releasing unreleased titles and less multiple releases. Double dipping sucks.

I was wondering the same thing. I'm wanting to preorder it, but if there's a chance it won't be a digibook, I'll wait.

Maybe because the graphic with the digibook is the one with the discs and book opened behind the digibook cover and the one on Amazon is the only one they have available with the cover standing alone.

I have the older BD of A Clockwork Orange on its way in the post. I will hold off on quadruple dipping until it has been substantially been remastered and overhauled (I owned it on VHS, DVD, and now the BD is on its way).

Had it on VHS, 2x on DVD, HD-DVD, and BD. I really love the digibook thing but they can stick this one where the sun don't shine.

LOL!

I like the Digibooks too. Just the same, unless it is a remaster or some kind of significant overhaul or the video or audio then no extra dipping for me either.

Just the same I recently upgraded my Memento DVD to Blu-ray and now the 10'th anniversary one is out! Argh!

Fortunately I never picked that up, so I felt pretty happy picking up the anniversary edition last Friday!

I should have waited. I saw the this thread but never bothered to read it! It was only afterwards that I realized that this was another remaster/upgrade of an early BD release which was half baked. Looking over the reviews I realize how many early releases were botched. Mind you, the same could be said of the early days of DVD. I had to double/triple dip on a lot of DVDs so having to upgrade some BDs is not the end of the world to me.

Sod the boxsets, I wanna see ACO projected on the big screen for the 40th anniversary.

I'll still buy every release of it though.
