Plus a bunch of outfits, and weapons and shit.

That's probably $30 in value right there just with the DLC.

EDIT: just noticed the advert with that book included.

This is much more worth $60 than that Tomb Raider cash grab. Plus the replay value is much higher, IMO.
I've never played it and I want to play it but can wait for it to go down in price, but I will definitely going to get it day one, preferably from Best Buy with GCU, if the art book is actually the packaging like it was for Tomb Raider so I can have them matching. And I would think it would be the same since they are both from SE.

So there's 3 single player storyline missions (complete with brand new voice acting, and runs probably a few hours in gameplay each).

And Last of Us and Injustice both got PS4 remasters with the DLC added from the original games and came out at $50. BOTH were a lot newer than Sleeping Dogs (heck Injustice was only released 6 months earlier). I don't think SD being a 2 year old game should carry a $60 price tag regardless of the fact that it carries all the DLC. Its essentially a GoTY edition and one that's come a year too late. SE should follow in Sony's lead with the pricing and not have this any more than $50. Considering it didn't sell that well to begin with, its kind of ridiculous for to ask full price for a game that old.

Well you did pay for it as Targets sale discounts all 3 games. Its not actually "free" even though that's how its marketed. Why didn't you then get a game that you like? Or at least return Madden and keep the other two?

That's a very good argument, and I can accept that. That's much more reasonable than those suggesting this should be like $15-20 or some shit.

Oh definitely not. Im with Merrick and thinking it should be priced at $40, but I think $50 would be at least acceptable. At any rate, I expect it to be that price on Black Friday and probably around $30 by January/Feb. Its coming out at a horrible time. The time for any of these remaster was post-launch to Fall bc the software lineup is lacking. I really wonder what took SE so long. Like did they only start this after TR came out? This really should have came out before GTA V. LLate spring would have been ideal

Sleeping Dogs certainly shouldn't be 60. The only reason I could see it being 60 if it either completely RE-does the graphics, or if it adds even MORE content.

I'm just not looking forward to games getting remastered. Last of Us? Sure, I can understand. It's a game of the year edition essentially. GTa5 was built with next gen in mind anyways, and we all knew it was coming, kind of like the Hobbit Extended editions. Resident Evil is an update 13 years later, with new content. That all makes sense.

Stuff like Metro, Sleeping Dogs, and Journey just... They just reel of being cash grabs. Especially injustice. That games was barely an upgrade. I was waiting to buy the GotY edition before I bought the original version, so when the ps4 one was revealed it was just Icing on the cake for me. But man... That was a lazy port. Tomb Raider certainly had a graphical upgrade, but all it's dlc was multiplayer based, which no one cared about. It didn't even have new costumes. That shouldn't have been 60.

Metro, the jury is still out on. It at least brings the first game to Sony consoles.

IA for the most part except for Injustice. It came 6-7 months later so to me that's still kind of release window. Sort of, but maybe not really. It wasn't released solely as a cash grab for the PS4. The Ultimate Edition was coming anyway so they put it on that system to give gamers who were moving on the option to get it and Im glad they did. Considering Sony had no fighting game on the platform (and I still don't believe they have any), I felt it was kind of needed. It gets a pass from me bc it came so soon and filled a void

Don't you dare be crapping on Metro Redux. A lot of actual work has gone into rereleasing that. Specifically porting Metro 2033 over to the Last Light engine. It's hardly a cash grab. Not anymore than TLoU:R or Halo MCC is, anyway.
Plus, it's TWO games for $50 or can be purchased separately for $25 (digital only). You can't criticize that as being greedy.

Metro Redux is in every sense a true redux. Metro 2033 is getting a lot of tweaks to the gameplay that (IMO) held it back from being one of last gens true gems. I'm actually more excited about that than I was TLoU and still am.

Injustice also has no basis for criticism. Like you said the PS4 came out at around the same time as the game released it's Game of the Year edition. Why not release it on PS4? Although, I think Sony was the one who funded that port since it didn't get released on X1 (which had Killer Instinct)

Woah, calm the heck down man. I personally haven't looked to far into Metro Redux. That's great. Like I said, the jury was still out for me.

As for injustice, that's awesome that it was in release window. It was still a mediocre port with not very noticeable improvements. For someone that had the ps3 version with all the dlc, it wasn't worth a 50 dollar upgrade. (Although I do think it was one of the 10 dollar digital upgrades, in which case that's fine)

And really people "cash grab" this and "cash grab" that. You can't be serious? The entire industry is a cash grab. Every dev, every publisher, every company out there wants to earn your money. Without the industry dies. Everything is a cash grab.

I saw that myself this morning. Amazon changed their date to 12/31/2014 yesterday now I wonder if Square Enix will confirm the release sometime this week or next at gamescom.

What the hell is wrong with people making money off a product? If the demand is there, and there clearly appears to be because I've seen people excited for some of these releases, and I'm sure the ones I haven't, there are those who want it, why not?

As much as a lot of us were against the $60 Tomb Raider, they clearly sold enough to validate the Sleeping Dogs one. And I assume we'll see the Hitman release soon after that if SD:HD does well.

I dunno, this *****ing about "so and so is a cash grab" just seems like lazy arguing, no offense. OF COURSE it's a cash grab. Everything is a cash grab. If there was no cash to be made, there would be no products. Or very very few products anyway.

Personally I loved it. Great fun storyline (cliched action movie type thing, but intentionally so) and I've talked to people who liked it MORE than GTA. Any kind of crime sandbox game will be called a GTA Ripoff (Mafia II is another example), but Sleeping Dogs was hella fun and they put out a ton of DLC extending the playability including two extensive single player modes.

I recommend it highly, it was one of my two favorite games in 2012 along with Journey.

Here's a trailer for it.
