I'm thinking about replacing my digibooks with the Complete Series slipcase, but I read an Amazon review that trashes the packaging. It says it's incredibly flimsy and the discs are a pain to get out.

If you go to the page for the collectors edition on here it shows the packaging. They used the disc holder from the collectors edition then put it in a box to make it a little taller than a blu-ray case. It's very odd. I don't think it's that flimsy though. And if it's going to be sitting on your shelf most of the time it doesn't really matter. The discs are no harder to get out than they were in the digipaks.

I think I get what you're referring to. You're saying that the standard complete series bluray edition is merely the book that holds the discs in the collector's limited edition statue just placed in a slightly oversized outerbox? I saw that edition in the store yesterday and was wondering about that packaging, so am I correct in that it is the same setup as the statue edition?

That's what I assumed it was based on your description. I already have the previous individual season sets which were very well made so sticking with those but get the best of both worlds because my friend ordered this collection (should arrive tomorrow or Friday) and doesn't care about special features so he's giving me the bonus disc and UV redemption code. I know there's new season 1 commentaries that appear on discs 1 2 and 3 so depending if they're good he'll trade me those discs for the original season 1 discs I have. Not bad hehe. This collection is awesome for anyone who hasn't invested in the series yet. Thanks for the photo, much appreciated.

Oh wow, that's silly. I held it in the store and it's exactly the same height as a Blu-ray case, which is why I wanted it. I thought it would be a taller version than the one in the statue set. Guess not, I'll stick with the digibooks.

It's a nice set, got mine on tuesday. Only gripe is that some of the discs were peeking out of their holders/pages in the digibook. That and some of the pages were slightly dented toward the top -- where it looks like the person or machine putting the discs in was doing it with some force.

Can't wait to watch this over the weekend.

Outside box is nice. They went cheap on the insides and you can't get the discs out without some fingerprints on them.

It's a fine art, but it can be done. Thumb the disc up as far as it will go in it's page and then, (preferably with sanitized hands) grab the curvature of the disc with your two fingertips and pull it out. All without touching the playing side.

It's a pain for sure, I prefer normal cases.

Found this check it out. http://www.post-movie.net/a-look-ins...y/#prettyPhoto

I ordered the new set but not sure if I'll keep it. I have the digibooks for each season already I might just return it or keep the old digibooks and change out the disc with the new ones.

USA Bonus features

I'm pretty sure I understand this correctly in regards to the new supplements in the collection, but to be safe I just want to confirm with everyone.

There's disc 13 which is the bonus disc comprised of the bulk of the new features, but am I correct in that the 3 new commentaries are all within the first season of the set? Meaning there's 1 commentary on disc 1 and another on disc 2 and another on disc 3 or are all 3 new commentaries together on just one of those discs (either disc 1, 2, or 3?)

Any information and clarification is appreciated.

The original digibooks were surprisingly nice. I am going to hold off until the price drops significantly. Great series!

The original digibooks looked really nice to me. I don't like the look of this new set at all.

I don't like the design of this. I wish they would've just copied the HBO Rome and Deadwood bd designs and call it a day. Those are great!

99.9% chance this doesn't ship, but for 22 bucks, worth a shot, so order placed.
