Oh, and yes this steelbook will be in my collection. Really like the art and the colors are awesome.
I agree with you on the first part. The second part? I'm favoring the Plain Archive edition by a longshot personally. I even prefer that art to the first edition that became rare/OOP in the UK.

For some reason I'm not feeling this cover. Idk. I think I'm still going to stick with the Mondo steel. I really want to see the PA artwork.

That's the Plain Archive artwork. Interior art and slip hasn't been announced yet though.

And with that Art reveal, the initial HMV version still remains King of the "Drive" Steelbooks...

Solid cover art. I imagine the back will be a pink scorpion and the inside will be Gosling behind the wheel. Can't wait to get this!

Yes, the Plain Archive designed NovaMedia release will be the one to have for sure. This one is actually my third favorite now though, behind Nova and Mondo. The previous steels were nothing great really.

Wow... This steelbook looks really nice! Not as nice as the Mondo steelbook but i think its arguably the best looking steel from this wave

Will be buying this along with the Mondo Futureshop steelbook

Please leave this thread as it is. This is the only title in the wave series, or whatever, that I give a damn about. The amount of unnecessary butt-hurt in this thread is ridiculous. If you don't like this title having it's own thread, unsubscribe and don't look at it. Some of us want it.

Here is the thing. Yes there is a thread that has all the SB's. But I see no problem having a separate thread because if people want to talk about just this SB then this is the place for it. The other thread can be used to discuss all of them.

Ok guys and gals. Lets please stay on topic.
Yes there is a separate thread for this and The Raid but realistically this movie and The Raid will be discussed more then say Stripes. So many people really enjoy this movie and are looking really forward to this release.
And sure we could create threads for every single Uni Reel blah blah SB and all the others that fall into certain collections but that is just over thinking it. If it becomes too much of a problem then yes these will be merged with the main thread but I really hope it doesn't get like that. I know you guys are better then that and our love for all things metal and the joy we share in collecting should be more then the need to argue.

Not a fan of the art; glad I got in on a GB for the Mondo (even if it's thrice the price ). Depending on what the back looks like, I may want to frankenstein the two.

After all the Drive steelbooks we've seen, I still prefer the Nova. one since it contains actual imagery from the film as opposed to "fan art" and it doesn't go overboard with the pink.

Not the biggest fan of the cover but I still preordered it!

I love this movie.

It's definitely a big step up from the god awful US cover art, that's for sure. I'm not really a steelbook collector but I may have to grab this.

I would rather have fan art than either a giant floating head(s) or stills lazily thrown together. Anything that looks like the lead actor is posing for a picture in a studio is a no-no (Braveheart).

I was prepared to buy this but after seeing it will have to pass, something just doesn't look right to me... having a friend pick up the mondo version for me and will try to snag the nova edition also to go along with my hmv steel... this is one of those movies I like so much that I don't mind buying multiple versions
