Doesn't this HD kool-aid drinker realize there's more places to buy movies besides Amazon?

what is this, Harry Potter?

Although that will be a good one to get. Can't wait to wipe the floor with the HD-DVD crowd with that title.

Ever see the attach rate for Wii? It's among the lowest of all the console out there. Meaning every person that brought a Wii on average brought .9 or something like that games, while XBoX360 is like 2 to 3. From that standpoint, yes, a lot of Wii owners are cheap, as the "Best" game for Wii came with the system (Wii Sports).

I'd have to disagree as well on the Cheap part. The Wii is the cheapest of the consoles... but still its not really "Cheap" in price.

IMO, most people buy it for the interaction or for 1st party Nintendo games.

Those who buy it for the "interactive-ness" get all they need out of Wii sports. Or that other title that comes with a controller... hence the low attach rate. So its not really that the owners are cheap.... its just that many are not real gamers... and Wii sports is all they really need.

Wait,

So attach rates exist as a concept outside of the realm of HD DUD propaganda?

I'm amazed.

I owned them all...I bought the PS3 first and then the Wii and then the 360. The Wii was the first to go...very fun at first and then you lose the love. The 360 may be next on the chopping block.

Remember in Transformers when they shot the tail off that Decepticon in the dessert, but it continued to live? HD DVD is a little like that. You need to cut the head off and watch it mouth the words, "30GB is enough" before it finally dies.

I agree we can't rest on our laurels we must deliver the death blow this holiday season.

Same order for me. I bought the PS3 for movies, then the Wii because Wii sports was fun. Then I got a free 360 with a new TV at BB. The only games I've played on the 360 are Forza, which came with it, and my old copy of Outlaw Volleyball (best VB game I've played)

Very funny, every cliche in the book, FUD, spin, misdirections, ignorance of the facts and finally personal insults.

I'm actually skeptical that it's a real term/concept, especially considering the Wikipedia article was created by a Microsoft employee:

Actually the Wii is not cheap, it's way overpriced considering it's just a game cube with a new controller.

I have a PS3 and a Wii. Honestly, my Wii was a waste of money. Even though I bought it with gift cards. It broke once, sent it back. Got another one, it broke. Nintendo sent me a replacement power adapter thinking thats what it was. I haven't plugged it in yet to find out. I got that adapter.......3-4 months ago.

90/10 weeks won't happen for a long time or WB has to go BD exclusive. Here is what 90/10 will have to look like:

270/30
540/60
810/90

More than 80/20 may happen for Pirates week, around 80k of Pirates 2 have sold, every one of those will buy the third and many people that don't have it will also that title has the best chance to break 200k.
