Lol mad confusion on that title. I didn't even realize that the UK had a different title when the movie released. I'll definitely be picking this up then since I missed out on the other Avengers steels.

HMV were smart enough to dodge the 'Assemble' title on their steel, there's every chance that Zavvi will do the same.

Will probably just stick with the HMV steel on this one, but will look at the art I guess.

This sounds good, Zavvi are having a go at Lenticulars now, I skipped the previous UK release, it had no movie title which made the design even more boring, hopefully this time they give The Avengers the better artwork that it deserves and a title, even "Avengers Assemble" is better than nothing.

Just remember that the British version didn't include Joss Whedon's commentary and i think it was slightly censored with Phil Coulson's spear strike.

It's true that in the British version the stab was actually cut, and most viewers didn't see the point.

That's not why that steel was like that. It's because it saves the company money on making multiple steels for multiple languages. It's why all new Disney steelbooks have pictures on the spine instead of the title.

Really excited to see this. Wonder if it'll be a lenticular slip of a lenticular front though… Really hope the steelbook is not the same design as the previous release.
Also wondering if someone else may re-release this, like Kimchi or Blufans. Can't say Zavvi's my favourite. Sorry:/

Most Disney steels have both, it's predominantly the Marvel steels that go down the pictures/no title route. The only Disney/Pixar steel that I have that doesn't have the title on the spine is Frozen, which doesn't even have the title on the front.

Maleficent for example has both, title and pic. Disney don't seem overly bothered with the language barrier - the Spanish Maleficent steel has Malefica On the j-card but Maleficent on the actual front and spine.

We got the German version of the BD release and the BBfc didn't check the bloody changes, if they did their job there wouldn't be an issue.

It might be possible that zavvi use the US master. But we won't know until we see more info

Don't think that your sneaky ways went unnoticed and unappreciated mister!

Yup. Both understandable AND unacceptable all at the same time.

Much prefer the titles having subtitles for all films in the way Captain America had from the start. The Avengers steels will look much better in a similar way alongside each other with the 'Assemble' subtitle.

Would love to get this steel, but there's 2 thing putting me off.

The fact that it's probably going to be the cut German version and that atrocious "Avengers Assemble" title.

"Avengers Assemble" is a stupid name.
End of discussion.
