I had preordered the Japan steelbook months ago and actually had forgotten about it and now it's shipped. I meant to cancel it as I now think it's ugly - does anyone know if it's just the steelbook without a slip or other peripherals? I hate to go thru the return process but I don't want to be stuck with a $54 steelbook I don't need. If anyone wants to take it off my hands make me an offer.

You know you can just reject the package right? if you dont want to pay for shipping, just cover your name and write return to sender and theyll pay. But I would contact them first though, some will make you to be the responsible party for that return shipping fee.

Yes, I'm aware that rejecting at the point of delivery is an option, I'm just never comfortable doing this especially for packages that originate from half a world away. Amazon JP could claim they never got it back, the DHL guy could decide he may want to hang onto it since I didn't want it. I don't think any of these concerns should be thought of as invalid as they could very well (and have, in fact) happen.

LOL...no they have to sign for it and then the tracking number is then the new - old tracking number...

Decided to keep it It's better looking in-hand. Will keep it sealed just in case.

PQ on this release is a marked improvement over the older Blu-ray. It actually looks very good IMO. Frankly, I'm surprised that Fox went through the trouble of remastering this. The film may be a cult hit but it's still a deep catalog title without marketing tie-ins. This is such a fun film

Both versions have both cuts selectable from the audio menu of all places.

There are 2 versions of this release: the steelbook listed on this site and a box set (not listed on this site) containing a number of extra booklets with no steelbook.
