no idea, I always thought the best solution would be a IR receiver/BT sender. that way there is no cables and you can put it anywhere irrespective to where the PS3 is located (best of both worlds)

I posted it here for two reasons

1) since I fully trust Daniel and I don't think he would have made that post lightly (There has to be a real possibility of this coming to market), that there might be something coming down the line

2) If he is asking, I can only assume someone is not sure if bringing such a product to market would be useful. So I think it is important that if you want it to show the interest.
