I'm posting this here instead of the Custom Cover Art thread because I want a little feedback on a possible cover art and I figure more fans of the film will see it here.

I'm not crazy about Twilight Time's cover (big surprise), but there isn't much from the time of the film's release that is grabbing me either. About the best I have been able to come up with is this graphic from a Belgian release poster with a reformatted title treatment from a US one sheet.

Wondering if anyone else thinks this is enough of an improvement on Twilight Time's cover to make available...

Actually the cover art is quite appropriate for an important plot point of this movie (in a stylized way of course).

I'd like to own this movie but why do these have to be priced so darn high?? Do you all think this will still be around by the end of the year or should I just give in and get it now?

Answering my own question here in case anyone happens to be wondering--it took two days to get my shipping confirmation email.

I wouldn't be too sure. This movie has something of a minor cult following. I know I've been waiting for a decent release for a long time now; I daresay I'm not the only one. Add to that it's a limited edition and I think it's one worth getting even at $29.95. Just think of it as another Criterion release.

I think this will be available for 3-4 months at the minimum.

Well I decided not to chance it- ordered Friday,.received today, will watch over the weekend.
I was surprised by the clear case it comes in, btw. I was expecting the standard, thicker TT case. Not a bug deal at all, looks nice.

An excellent movie. I highly enjoyed the cinematography. The complexity and history in this movie is easier to enjoy today after 60 years of wwii history than it must have been in its time. A great gem for the library that we will enjoy again in our household.
