Well, I guess I need to sell my current copy while it still has value....Wondering if Universal will be releasing a new 40th Anniversary edition of "Jaws" this year.

I would be happy to upgrade my current release which I have had for over 4 years now for ones with brand new transfers free of DNR/EE, they have certainly had their monies worth.

Very cool figure, but $700+ after shipping for the car? That $50 version at Toys r Us is not 14X less detailed, not sure if it's the right scale though (and it's from pt 2, but still, $650 is $650!).

You're looking at a 1/6 scale car here. It's over three feet long.

Got ya, so it's scaled to 12" figures, not the 6" the other one is. Still got sticker shock, but it's a bit less with that all sitting in.

And hundreds of Universal titles that look like old, overly-processed crap have jammed up all of the phone lines trying to speak to you.

Thing is expensive but with it being so far off (I'm sure it'll come even later than March 2016 as their vehicles normally get delayed) it's certainly obtainable if you guys really want one. That could be your holy grail right there, put it in a glass case with lights & everything. Could even grab their Marty and pose him next to it in his iconic watch pose.

Okay I'll stop.

I'd buy an actual DeLorean before I'd spend that much on a scale model.

Better round up a lot more than $690 then.

Haha yeah I know a few people around here that do have one though. They're not cheap but they're not outrageously expensive. It would definitely be a luxury item for sure though, but it'd be hilarious to drive around the lake area or around campus in one.

Universal finally released the Jurassic Park films individually so they need to do this with Back To The Future or release all three together in less stupid packaging.

I got excited for a spilt second before realised that there was a question mark in the thread title.

Universal really need to go back and remaster these films.

The sound quality and special features on the current BD's are excellent but the transfers are a major let down.

Yes they're better then all the previous home video releases but they could look miles better if they were given new 4K masters and remastered without any DNR & EE applied.

Heck I'd settle for the current HD masters without all the digital processing.

ITV have broadcasted the un-manipulated masters over here and they look miles better then the BD transfers.

Same here. I'd like to see the original posters for covers, they're classic.

I wish we would get a BD release that looked this filmic, but it's Universal we are talking about.

My point is is that they could pull a completely left field decision and use their restoration team to get one of their good releases out.
They have done a handful of great releases too, maybe we'll get lucky with this.

I just received the UK set yesterday. It was $13 shipped, with three individual cases in a slipbox and a UV copy. I'll stick with that.
