When that happens I'll be excited and giddy all over again.

I think Avengers definitely qualifies for multiple versions. I have the awesome Target exclusive slipcover and the awesome Digipack from Mexico.

I have the Zavvi steelbook on order for sure, and now I am 100% in in IN for this!

Fair enough. I have the BB Viva Metal Box though since it's not an actual steelbook, and got it for free, I might try for either the NM or the inevitable BF version but definitely not both. Got no need for more than 1 steel of any movie. Got save money for that Age of Ultron steel after all lol

I have the DE and TW steel, but passed on Zavvi's due to the Assemble in the title.

A good rule of thumb that I've been a little slow to realize (I passed on CA2 from NM initially) is ALWAYS buy the Marvel/Disney steel releases, especially from the Asian companies. They're easy to trade or sell if you decide you don't want them later on.

I open every steel I buy and don't buy extras of movies with the intent of ever getting rid of them. I own a single copy that I also use to watch so 1 is enough for me. On the rare occasion I'd upgrade a steel, I couldn't have paid much for the initial one to begin with; so far done it all of once. Plus if I can't get a steel when it comes out then oh well, amaray or some other release for me. No biggie.

Also, I ain't got the green to be dropping $50 on every release of a single movie when I can get a single nice version for much less.

Sorry to be nitpicky, but technically the title of the thread should be "The Avengers".

It beats the Zavvi version by a lightyear though, and at least it has the correct title on it.

I do feel that the BF release will blow this out of the water though, so I'm willing to wait.

Good effort Nova, but it can be done better.

I feel the same, I don't care for the group shot on the front, everyone's so jammed in there they're literally on top of each other. I mean photoshopping images together is one thing, but at least put a little space between them to make it look a little bit realistic. The back and the eventual awesome lenticular slips will be enough for me to pick this up though.

They're basically having a superhero orgy on the front, due to the sloppy Photoshopping, lol.

Me neither.

I think all I could manage was incoherent babbling when I saw Nova's Facebook last night. This is great news from Nova.

This is why: 1) I like to know about releases as soon as companies can tell us, and 2) why I don't mind if they're spread out so I can afford them.

And I'm wiling to bet Blufans (if it happens, I hope it does) won't have Loki on their Avengers steel, yet he's a pretty big piece to this story. Blufans couldn't get Loki artwork approved for their other Marvel steels (at least not yet)... I do hope Nova cleans up that front image though.

I thought Loki was supposed to be on the interior artwork for the Thor 1 steel or did that change at some point?

I should clarify, I don't think Blufans will be getting Loki approved on the exterior artwork. I would love to see final pictures of the Thor 1 Blufans though.
