Never said it didn't. Wrote that Apollo is getting "that" and because of those upgrades there is still a chance for this disc since they both are 20th anniversary.

I emailed Univeral a few years ago asking them to release the Extended Uncut edition of Waterworld. Also suggested they do the same with Dune and Army of Darkness and release them in slick Steelbooks.

I have both DVD editions of Waterworld and Dune Extended editions and they are a little painful to watch being censored. Both are better IMO, but not complete. It would be awesome if Univeral just released uncensored version of these two and move on.

I don't believe they want to make money anymore. When I hear about these studios struggling for revenue, I shake my head and laugh.

For those wanting an extended uncensored version I came across a fan-made version called 'Waterworld The Ulysses Cut'

http://theunheardnerd.blogspot.co.uk...g-page_28.html

Its a far cry from HD but still a very interesting watch running at nearly 3 hours long with all the violence and swearing intact.

So the US counterpart release says "remaster" and "extended edition ".... no release date as yet, but one would imagine it's the same, no?

That one is for quite some time in the database. Still ask why, it never got deleted...

Not holding out much hope for the extended cut - street date is just over a month from now and still no word on specs or artwork. Also, the Blu-ray.com listing says 135 minutes.

Right now we have confirmation that Apollo 13 is remastered. This on the heels of The Breakfast Club as well.

Here are the four other titles that I spotted in the database coming from Universal on the same day as Waterworld that are also listed as anniversary Special Editions. At least two of them are in desperate need of a remaster too...

Every week some yellow cushion envelope, or carton slip falls on the doormat. Or better, it is the postman with a package. Every week it's Christmas.

I put them in my order of necessity. I think Casino looks fine, but I love that movie, so I'd be happy to take a remaster.

As far as likelihood, Tremors 5 is coming out this year and it's the anniversary so it would make good sense for Universal to do a remastered Blu-ray. On the other hand, if they were remastering Weird Science, why wouldn't they get it into the box set?
