The compilation of Video Company Idents is a nostalgia fest

We know the rationale behind the censorship but we also know it's nonsense.

I also enjoy the "Ban The Sadist Videos" 2 parter. Originally included in the Box of the Banned my current disc is the bonus from the US Blu of House On Straw Hill

Japan is getting a release in a couple of weeks. I wonder how it will compare?

At the very least some bits will be pixellated due to Japans odd aversion to pubic hair.

Edit - although the google translation says it will be a "hair uncensored version"

Can they just ignore the usual censorship when they feel like it?

I might go for it. Sure as hell beats waiting around for Code Red.

Just under £40.

So it's already been a year since the first "announcement."

And now we have Opera and Fatal Games to think about. With no legitimate information yet on either.

Still don't understand the point of these "announcements" -- or teases or whatever the hell you want to call them -- without even a tentative YEAR given, much less a month.

And yet Bill wonders why Code Red continues to be the Rodney Dangerfield of boutique labels.

I've ordered the Japanese release but if Code Red can give us a smidgen of an idea as to when theirs might be out I might hang on for it.
Absolutely pointless telling us they had it over a year before it comes out.

+1

..... some of the best extras ever released and tons of replay value!

If you are a fan of horror and its history both volumes are a must have release.

Bills brother has confirmed on the CR thread that the Code Red version should be out next month from SAE so I have cancelled the Jap release.

I had the Italian version, an awful LVR scan with the worst machine noise I've ever seen. Also no English audio as advertised.

Looking forward to seeing how this release turns out.

Should be this month, if problems with the with the hard drive on which the film is stored have been resolved at the pressing plant.

While waiting maybe Code Red ccould say something about the extras. Will the interviews from the Shriek Show DVD (Deodato, Hess, Radice) be ported over?
