Yeah the putting is taking some getting used to. It's very hard to judge when there's a break or a slope. Am I missing something or is there a grid view you can bring up?

I don't know how many shots I've hit close to the pin so far that I two-putted because the putting is so hard to judge.

Yeah. The grid should be on by default. If it's not for some reason, just turn it on in the presentation settings.

The thing that really irks me when putting though is the lack of realism. You have the same length of a backswing for a 2 ft putt as you do for a 60 ft putt. Really annoying.

I'm liking it so far. More detailed review after I play through more of the online stuff for a few days.

If you want it to be more "realistic", don't play with arcade settings. My friends and I were playing last night, and it reminded us a lot of Tiger 2002-2003 which we all loved.

Links had a nice balance between watching golf on TV and playing it. The EA games don't always get the balance right. I think they work best when it feels like your playing, you can add the TV stuff around that.

Im on the ropes with this one.. once It drops to $40 , Ill probably pick it up, for the simple fact its going to be the only next gen golf game we see with a PGA license until 2017. AS long as the graphics are good and more importantly the gameplay is good, and accurate, Ill give it a shot.. If I have to pay for some DLC courses or features, I'm not going to throw a fit, and If its something I want I'll buy it...

last golf game I bought was tiger legends, ( or 2014 whatever it was... Not a fan.. ) so I went back to playing Tiger 2010, which was somewhat descent , but not the Tiger 2003-2004 That I miss lol

ANYwho... Watched previews on this, and the commentating is lame, the coures/people have no personality / atmosphere, but like I said if it plays well, and looks good, Im in

Yeah, I have pretty much every setting on the most difficult. Advanced shot shaping, no lame power or spin tactics, zoom off, etc. Zoom is really OP too imo. Just way too easy to do well with it on. Can literally stick it within 10 ft every time and shoot sub 60 every round with it on if you try. I've had it off and shoot realistic scores from +2 to -5. Plus, it makes it more true to the game. Have to check the yardages with the hole overview that way to know where to place your shot.

Gonna bump this one up.. I know not alot of people got into this , and I can see why.. To me this game has ps3 graphics at best, it seems choppy, and what the worst thing is, is getting popup, like you did in the ps1...

While scanning the course random shrubs just pop up, the shadows of the trees or people just pop up, it looks terrible.. Is this just me or ......

Other than the obvious huge lack of options and courses , this game is still terrible..

Gonna go back to tiger 2004 for a while to remember what a good golf game plays like

I didn't even mind the gameplay or graphics, but the character creation options were such a pathetic joke. I was lucky to be able to get back pretty much what I paid for it when I traded it in at Best Buy.

I paid $25 for it on BF and I think that was $20 too much.. To me the graphics arent smooth, the grass looks blurry, the pop ups in this generation of gaming shouldn't ever be an issue, but like I said, before the start of a game, when its panning the course, you see shadows or trees, humans, objects on the course just pop up, it looks horrible, the panning also seems choppy.. I dont know how anyone can think this game looks good for a ps4 title

I would have expected a much smoother gameplay, and better graphics out of a ps3 game

A quick search reassures me I'm not the only one that thought something was up with the framerate, graphics and pop up issues.. .What a joke, I'll be taking this one to best buy for my $14 gift card..
