There seems to be an issue with this particular 3D Blu-Ray on the Xbox One! The same thing happens on mine as well. There is major digital 'artifacting' and video noise visible in several scenes throughout the film. At first I thought it was the disc, so I exchanged it at BB, to no avail! Then I thought I was just my own console, but it's now seeming that the issue may be vastly widespread.. You want to know what the really crazy thing is? I recently purchased a new Xbox One S, (yes, the one that can play 4K Blu-Rays now). So, the very first Blu-Ray I played in it was, well... of course Jurassic Park 3D. But the very second was Home 3D, and you know what? The the digital artifacting was completely gone!! Now that would have been all fine and dandy.. except for the frustratingly unfortunate fact the movie was only playing in 2D!! Despite all of my efforts to get it to play in 3D (which included reloading the Blu-Ray app, fully restarting the console, and trying different discs before returning to the Home disc), the Xbox One S only seems to play Home 3D in 2D! It's almost as though it was pre-configured to do so by default at the factory. It's odd. There almost seems to be a conspiracy surrounding Home Blu-Ray 3D and the Xbox One... It's saddening because I would have thought they'd be using a different optical drive for the newer enhanced console, which I sort of suspect they did and that the issue is in how the Xbox One decodes video. The other 3D Blu-Ray both the old and new consoles struggle with is Minuscule, which suffers from intermittent pauses at the same spots during playback. Any one else experiencing these issues? |
