They have Disney Movies Anywhere ...EXCEPT for A New Hope. It's still listed as Fox (vs Lucasfilm for the rest) as Fox has longer/more extensive distribution rights to the first film.

Looks like A New Hope won't be on Disney Movies Anywhere, since it's still a Fox title. Still, it does make it easier for me to buy the set knowing I'll get at least five of the films on both iTunes and Vudu.

yeah, i had just noticed that and went back to edit my post. Sucks they couldn't work something out there. But really, doesnt make a difference to me. Never use DMA to watch flicks. DMA is just for porting itunes movies to Vudu LOL

interesting, you can click on +Wishlist and in theory it adds it to your wishlist (as the button changed to -Wishlist), but it doesn't actually show up on your wishlist yet.

The Return Of The Jedi trailer shows the following scene, isn't this a Special Edition scene?:

I see with Disney that they leave off the episode # on the titles in the trailers. Of course, when I was a kid, the original 3 were simply Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return Of The Jedi.

even if true, though, unfortunately the value of UV would be that we could buy it in a separate account. but unless we want to buy them all individually instead of as a bundle, that doesn't help.

So technically Fox is licensing these films to Disney for the release?

I already own 1-6 on blu-ray but I wonder with The Force Awakens coming out at the end of the year if Disney/Fox will release new blu-ray/Digital HD copies.

It's not visible on the page, probably because it's not released yet. But the UV ALID is urn:dece:alid:eidr-s: D8A0-3F40-BEED-B706-48C1-H.

I have no idea what that gibberish means

but I will assume you know what you're talking about. So thanks for the find!

Bundle and save prediction? 109.99.

How is Star Wars on digital not a bigger deal? There has been no media coverage at all.

The Runtimes for each movie correlate with the special editions. I probably won't get these right away. i've still been waiting for a cheaper price on the blu ray saga. If they end up re-releasing with digital copies maybe. I was a late Star Wars bloomer and not even really that into them. Would like to own them though.

Ha! The ALID is just the identifier that gets stored in your UV locker (along with other information that identifies you as the purchaser). The providers use these to match with the ones in their system to figure out which movies you own. DMA/Keychest likely works the same way.

The number is pretty meaningless to consumers 99% of the time. However, it's good to know what it is, because there could be instances where that number is the issue, such as cases where a movie you own appears at one provider, but not others, even though it's in your uvvu account and the other provider(s) has/have the movie available.

If most of them are just DMA I have no reason to purchase these. I already have the blu-rays, and although DMA ports to Vudu it wont port to my friends and family, right?

DMA does not port to shared Vudu accounts but will port to google play and iTunes. iTunes DMA movies are part of iTunes family sharing.
