The new trailers showing a lot of the Doctors got me excited but then I read this:

Quote:
Doctor Who, which has never before been in a LEGO videogame, will be playable in the LEGO Dimensions Starter Pack with a complete Doctor Who level where the game’s heroes continue their quest while encountering Daleks, Cybermen and other adversaries from the Whoniverse.

Fans who want more Doctor Who in LEGO Dimensions will be able to purchase the Doctor Who Level Pack which includes an additional mission-based Doctor Who level, along with a LEGO minifigure of the 12th Doctor and LEGO models of the TARDIS and K-9, all playable in the game. When the 12th Doctor is defeated in the level, he returns as the 1st Doctor and then regenerates back up to the 12th Doctor again. The interior of the TARDIS will reflect the corresponding Doctor the player embodies or can be manually selected. There’s even a jukebox inside where players can choose among different versions of the Doctor Who theme music. The TARDIS and K-9 models can each be physically built and then rebuilt twice to do entirely different things in the digital game for massive variety.

There will also be a Doctor Who Fun Pack, which includes a playable Cyberman minifigure and Dalek model which can be physically built and then rebuilt twice for a total of three different objects.
That could be the most brilliant thing I've heard. I wouldn't be surprised if I died on purpose multiple times just to play as everyone.

Has anyone heard what the approximate play time is on the level packs?

Being this is primarily Warner properties, and they are including a couple of sets from their movie holdings, it would be fun to see them expand on this premise. Ghost Busters and Back to the Future are ok, but I think it would be really cool if they expanded this idea to include sets like:

One Flew over the Cuckoo's Nest with Randall P. McMurphy and Nurse Ratched, they could also include the school bus from the film.

A Kubrick line of sets with: 2001, with Dave Bowman and HAL. A Clockwork Orange set (Alex and his droogs)

Good Fellas, Casablanca, etc., etc., etc.

Ok, I realize it is not going to happen, but it would be cool.

I don't think they have said. I was wondering the same thing. I don't know if you played the Lego Batman 3 DLC but it was extremely short!

Yep, it's Scooby-Doo. Those pics are Scooby-Doo, Middle Earth, Back to the Future, Ghostbusters and Doctor Who.

Well dad gum it! I really didn't want to do this one since I already go all in on Disney Infinity. Buuuuuut, other than Star Wars IP, DI 3.0 doesn't really show anything new on the gameplay front. Just expensive dumb gameplay.

But this looks fun. I don't think they found a very good Shaggy voice (more annoying than good really). With Casey Kasem gone, why didn't they pay Matthew Lillard to come in and do the voice. Especially if Chrisopher Lloyd is doing Dr. Brown's voice. I wonder if they got A.J. LoCascio to voice Marty McFly in this game. His IMDB page doesn't show Lego Dimensions.

The Goonies and Gremlins would be nice additions.

It is definitely Matthew Lillard.

Wow. IMDB confirmed this. Interesting. I will have to watch it again. He seemed to screech his voice too often. Also, Marty McFly isn't even listed as a character on IMDB.

I think the Midway Arcades level pack is going to be something pretty special. Love the idea that the level pack gives you 20 arcade games although I wonder what the Adventure World is going to look like?

Will it be a Arcade where you can access mini-games and more arcade games beyond the 20 in the level?

My wallet disappeared the other day actually and I was spending ages searching for it only for my brother to find it had fallen off my bed.

So, I basically want every starter pack and now that Midway level pack. I can't believe how much money and time I'm going to be wasting on this. Here's hoping for some black Friday sales this year.

This will be my second Lego game ever, after Lego Rock Band. Anybody here play prior Lego games? How's the gameplay? Only thing that worries me is how the game will play. And that's the most important thing.

There's usually some glitches and frustration like camera movement and such but otherwise the Lego games are some of the most fun I have playing more often than not.

They are very fun games but can get frustrating by crappy camera movement or bad controls.
