Assumedly it'll be identical to the blah Universal one (which I believe is the same as Arrow's). If it were a new transfer they'd likely advertise it as such.

This site gave the PQ a 4/5? Not saying the reviewers here are the end all be all when it comes to opinions on Blu-ray transfers but it can't be all that bad can it?

Just watched this fairly recently (albeit on the old Universal dvd) and it's not quite as gripping as it was during my childhood. But, I do still enjoy this and love creepy house movies. I'll keep an eye out for it and wouldn't mind checking out some of those extras.

It looks like Scream used the same transfer as the Universal release since the AR doesn't appear to be full 1.85, but somewhere between 1.85 and 1.78 (this site says the Universal release is 1.81). I only have the Arrow release to compare but they look the same. I didn't look at them both for very long so someone who's more of a stickler and has better eyes than I do can chime in.

Extras are typical, grade-A quality. As far as I'm concerned, this is as definitive a release this movie is going to get and is therefore the version to own.

It isn't, really. 4/5 may be a bit over the top, but it's by no means awful. A bit dated maybe, some digital noise. I'm pretty sensitive to overzealous noise reduction/EE and there's not much of that to speak of.
