I had the def tech supercube Trinity in my last setup, in a medium sized room. It flexed the sheetrock in the theater when pushed hard enough...like an earthquake. It was overkill for me so I gave it to my buddy who uses it in a large setup. The sub was originally designed for a church, lol.

Honestly I don't know I think some people are trying to prove a point, you know they are not true to their numbers they are too expensive and they will find an argument to make the def tech look bad vs what they purchased from a direct online manufacturer.

let's face it there has to be better subs out there but it does not mean the def tech is bad.

People don't like when manufacturer don't post the +/-3db point it looks like the manufacturer is trying to hide something but hey I mean they are not that bad and get the job done in a very small form factor.

Look I don't know this for a fact but it's my theory.

Definitive subs are overpriced in my opinion. I bought the Trinity because of the huge discount...under $1999 brand new shipped.

The lower tier def tech subs, ( below the reference model ) are undersized for the price. And the little active subs built into their center channel speakers were incredibly disappointing.

Better to go for an SVS...

The majority of speaker manufacture that kinda dwell into the subwoofers area are pretty much hated on.

Most of them are over priced, especially compared to an internet direct subwoofer company.

Currently the Focal 800 series speakers can be found at huge discounts. The 836v is currently selling for close to the same price as the 726. Is this a no-brainer, or are there improvements that were made to the newer Focal models (700s) vs the older models (800s). If anyone in the community could advise me I would greatly aprreciate the info.
