I voted Interstellar because he's the lead, but I would tie Contact with it. I like Contact. Although that has more to do with Jodie Foster and the incredible visuals than it does Matthew, but he does fine work.

I voted Killer Joe, simply because his performance is so far out from anything we've seen him do before, and he was just fantastic.

I went with A Time to Kill, but honestly it was close with Interstellar. I still have yet to see Killer Joe or Dallas Buyer's Club (they are both near the top of my to-see list).
