That's really annoying, I hate discs on cardboard packaging. I was going to get the individual imports of 2 and 3 but ended up waiting for this when they announced it. Now I wish I hadn't, but it's arriving tomorrow. Think I'll have to send it back and buy the US edition (which come in a plastic case) or just import 2 and 3 individually. I just sold my copy of the original film as well too .

Think that pack looks great, expected normal amaray like ANOES or fat amaray like Lethal Weapon.
This looks so much better

Ha, my copy arrived really badly crushed. Good old cardboard! So I have to return it now anyway.

Yeah from Amazon UK, just came in the standard cardboard mailer they use for single Blu-Rays. But as the set is made of just thin cardboard, it obviously gets crushed really easily if any weight is put on it. Just luck really if they arrive ok or not.

Hmmm, I see Amazon UK have the US import for £27.43 in stock in the UK. Might just go for it. £10 more for a plastic case!

Exorcist 40th Anniversary release was 3 disc,
this only has 2 disc's for original, so it loses 3rd disc which has these extras
"Beyond Comprehension: William Peter Blatty’s The Exorcist" featurette (27:49)
"Talk of the Devil" featurette (19:50)

With reports of the packaging being so very crushable, that Exorcist: The Beginning is so crap and Dominion just mediocre, it looks like the best option is to import 2 & 3 and put it alongside the previous version of the first.

Hope The Heretic looks better than the Sky HD print.

Got my set today.

I'm not that keen on the packaging.

It looks really fragile.

A shame the extras from the 3rd disc of the 40th anniversary edition BD of the first film weren't included.

Over all though for £17.50 it's well worth the money imo.

Just before Halloween as well.

Hell (no pun intended) yeah!

I've had a skim through the discs.

The two discs for the first film are identical to the original 2010 release (great transfer).

The Heretic looks decent although it's got the worst transfer of the bunch imo.

The Heretic has a DTS-HD 1.0 track with no 5.1 option.

III looks excellent.

Beginning looks excellent.

Domion has been sharpened and the colours & contrast are a bit weak but it's still watchable.

Dominion has been cropped to 1.85:1.

All the extras that were on the sequels & prequels DVDs have been ported over with the exception of the photo gallery on the Dominion DVD.

Thank God!

Was dominion not 1.85:1?

It's 2.00:1 on the DVD.

I noticed the cropping straight away when comparing it to the DVD but it's not too bad imo.

To be honest it's the first and third which are the best films, so it is great to hear they're lookin good.

Yeah they both look great.

Very big upgrades from the DVD's.

Now we just need the original "Legion" cut of III but that won't happen anytime soon unfortunately.

Importing 2 and 3 seems like it will cost close to £20 now after having a quick browse around. I also have to buy 1 again, so I'll be looking at nearer £26 or so altogether, so I'm probably as well just to get the US set for a quid or so more.

I could get the 40th Anniversary of 1 instead, but I'm not really bothered about the new extras on the 3rd disc (and it's closer to £10 anyway). Are the extras actually worth the money?

I haven't seen 4 and 5, but as they would work out basically free, I'll give them a look at some point if I get the full set again.

There was a rumour online about that being done for release next year in the US, I think someone asked a company about it on Twitter and they received an intriguing reply hinting at it. Can't really remember much more about it though, so not entirely helpful .

Just arrived home and opened the Amazon mailer. Mint, phew! Can see in hand how cheaptastic it is and feels, but I still like it, all discs were in place. I handle my stuff pretty careful anyway, so cannot see any issues
