Just this year I've added 200 some. Well past 100 is DVD.

Many of these titles you folks have listed are available in region B. You might want to import.

Agreed. My list would be a lot longer if I didn't import.

Maybe some of the interest in the topic stems from the various 'why don't they just kill dvd already' conversations that pop up here from time to time (and by from time to time I mean fairly regularly).

Those conversations see general responses to the effect of 'well, there's still a lot of cool stuff available only on DVD'.

I can see some value in a conversation that digs into that a little deeper and talks more about exactly what kind of titles aren't yet upgradable.

Another point worth chatting about is just how deep the Blu-ray catalog market is at this point in BDs lifespan. I think the catalog market is very solid with a wide selection of films ranging from bona fide classics to cult favorites to 'what, seriously, people actually still watch this crap and like rave about it'.

Conversations like this can highlight just how many very valuable films still haven't made the leap and thus further underscore the idea that DVD isn't just Blu-ray's former tenant that forgot to pick up its cleaning deposit.

Oh, and to keep with the spirit of the OP I'll skip listing some dearly loved televisions shows (and there are plenty) that have yet to make the cut and just rattle off a stream of consciousness list of DVDs that haven't been upgraded...

The Ghost And Mr, Chicken
Timecrimes
Addams Family Values
Charley Varrick
What's Up, Tiger Lily?
The Thin Man Serious
The Bad and the Beautiful
House of Games and The Spanish Prisoner
Seven Days in May
Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid
(this last one has a film festival idea percolating in the back of my head - not only exhibit Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid itself but as part of a several day festival fully exhibit as many of the films from with Reiner et all so liberally borrowed from.

This festival idea would be a lot of work but it could be a helllllllll of a lot of fun and anyone with the wherewithal should feel free to sneak into my head and liberate this idea (and really, anything else that looks half intereseting and at least half legal is fair game too) and then raise the child as your own.

No hard feelings. In fact, comp a few tickets and we're more than even.

It's cheap, though (at least over here; $5 at HMV), so I'm not sure why. Maybe he doesn't like French writing on the packaging.
Thank you. Reading is difficult for some.

I have quite a few. So many that I could not post it here; however, the main ones I shall: The Pink Panther films, Mr. Roberts, Open Range, True Lies, The Abyss, In Harm's Way, His Girl Friday, and Waking Ned Devine.

I am sure I am forgetting a few, and I am happy that I have so many upgrades at this point in the life of the format. There are a number of older films that I would love to see released, such as many Hammer films and the super cheesy science fiction films of the 50's.

All of them, not one of my remaining DVDs is available on Blu-ray anywhere in the world.

Some will never make the jump, most notably my entire MST3K collection - barring some incredible (yet insane) remastering for the theater segments.

Of course there are a bunch of DVDs included in Blu-ray combo packs, so technically I have a bunch of those.
