I got my copy from their booth at SDCC yesterday. It was $30 even. Joe Schnepp signed it. I popped it into my player but haven't had time to fully watch it yet.

I know this isn't pertinent to the blu-ray per se, but how can one watch this (rent it) on demand? It seems it's only on his site to buy physically or digitally for $30 and that's insane, even a movie theater ticket lets you pay to watch it for less rather than be forced to own it sight unseen.

"Not available to rent yet," they say.

Just watched it. Definitely interesting. I'll probably pickup the Blu-ray when it's reasonable priced.

Boy oh boy, what it would be like to spend a day in Jon Peters head. That guy is...interesting.

This is a review of the film from one of the screenings a few months ago in Austin. Mild spoiler alert as some topics disscussed might not be well known, but they do point out the production quality a few times. It seems the whole documentary suffers from amateur camera work. It's so odd considering it was made by industry people and a good amount of money was raised.
And that trailer posted needs a pro sound mix in the worst way. Somewhere I have a hard copy of the script (don't recall which draft it was) but I recall thinking the story would be a good 80 pg Annual, but make a weird film. Batman appearing at Supermans funeral to give a eulogy? A de powered Superman in the power suit saving people from a burning building? That had the potential to be worse than Cage in a suit.

Batman delivering the eulogy, yes. The power suit helping a man desperate to be at levels he once was just to save people is not. That's actually pretty great drama.

Would you mind posting a pic of the back of it? I've been hitting up their Facebook page for one for over a week, but they still haven't done it. Thanks!

I'll do it once I get home tonight. The front and back look too small to my eyes. Like everything can be spread out a bit. I have to squint to read the back. It's probably just me tho.

Here's a pic of the front cover signed by Schnepp.

Snap some pics of the inside too.

Is the disc professionally done, or does it look like it might be a BD-R?

Did Schnepp charge for the sig? what was he charging for the Blu-Rays when he sold direct?

Here's some pix of the Blu-Ray. Sorry if they look crappy. I only have my iPhone for pix. Disc doesn't look like a BD-R to me. I wasn't charged for the signature. In fact, he looked happy that I asked for him to sign it. I bought the Blu-Ray for $30 even.

Schnepp seems like a cool dude. When you watch it, let me know if you think its worth owning for the special features alone.

Same. Heck, I'd probably chip in a few bucks to get it first and watch it quick if someone wants to sell it to you.

I knew that Peters was a complete basket-case, but my word.

"I'm Batman, motherf***er!"

P.S.

Whoever's responsible for that absolute dirge over the end credits, needs to be f***ed and burnt and not necessarily in that order.

What i found most interesting was the no red undies costume a precursor to whats going on now well before the t-shirt and jeans look
Can you imagine how the internet would've exploded with Cage as Superman it makes Affleck as Batman seem acceptable for those knee-jerk haters

I'm more interested in seeing this made, than Jodorowsky's Dune.

I thought the doc was great. Thinking about getting the disc just to further expand my Tim Burton collection since, in essence, this is probably as close as we'll ever get to actually seeing this would-be film.
