I bought the Blu-ray of this, and watched last night.
While the image quality is good, I wonder if the English audio on the original version is mono. The Mondo Digital review indicates the English audio to be stereo, but does not sound like that at all. The Italian audio, as well as the English audio on the Export Version are definitely in stereo, but not the English one on the Original Version, which definitely sounds like mono. |

I don't really have anything to say on the differences, although I'd be curious to hear if anyone has any information as to which color scheme is more accurate. But I did want to add that according to their Facebook page, it sounds like Le Chat is using the Code Red transfer (referred to as "le même que celui que Banana Man doit éditer"). Also, it will have forced subs.

Hmmm, I've very intrigued to know which is more accurate:

With the exception of two shots, I prefer the look of the La Chat Qui Fume version. I have no idea which of the two is more accurate though. I'll more than likely be getting the Code Red release and will wait to see what that one looks like.

They didn't say, but I'm assuming Le Chat is always the bottom image. If you go with the assumption that Le Chat has a bit more image on the top, bottom, and left side throughout, that would be correct. It looks to me like the home interiors have a warmer look while the theater interiors have a colder look.

Well two of them actually say 'Le Chat Qui Fume' on them so I'm not sure why you're asking, and it's clear that the Koch has the sort of blue/teal tint and the new master does not. But I do wonder if it's supposed to have that, like Phenomena has the blue gels. I messaged Scorpion on Facebook for some information on any reference used for colour timing but it doesn't look like they've seen the message yet.

Nah just look at the framing, it's consistent in each example. In the image you're referring to, the Le Chat Qui Fume does have a blue look, but it's replacing the green look of the Koch (which is how I've always known the film to look). I do hope Walt responds as I'm very intrigued.
