That's disappointing. I was holding out hope that they were only exclusive to Amazon for a few days or a week. Looks like no "deals" on these two...

It's really frustrating that nothing has been formerly announced. All we get is a listing on Amazon and nothing beyond that. Give us some info Disney dang it.

I seriously doubt this will be exclusive. Disney is just slow adding stuff to their site. I just saw a post yesterday where they have just now added Star Wars Rebels Season 1 to the site and that comes out in two weeks. It will be there when Disney decides to add it.

I'm sure it will be available elsewhere at a later time. But I guess the exclusive time on amazon will be at least a month or two. And with all those shows discontinued on Blu-ray I'm glad there is an amazon exclusive release if the alternative would be no release at all.

But it would be nice to know if there will be a digipak in the UK. Still no announcement, not even for a DVD release.

I really don't know what Disney's plans for this are.

I would normally assume that the Amazon exclusive would only be for a short window, but since this is a television show, its release is time-sensitive. Season two is being released right before season three airs on television, so I'm not sure that, in the current retail climate, brick and mortar stores would want to devote shelf space to a 'new release' television set that is past its retail expiration date.

Maybe SHIELD Season two and Agent Carter season one would be given non-exclusive releases right before Agent Carter season two airs? I dunno... it's a weird situation, tv sets (these in particular) are high-priced, time sensitive items and retail stores like Walmart, Target, and Best Buy seem very selective about what they will devote shelf space to. I could also see retailers being resentful at Disney for giving these titles to Amazon exclusively for a month or two, and then getting the sloppy seconds.

Any chance the U.S. release will be a digipak like the UK is getting?

I would bet money the big retailers passed and are only going with dvd copies and amazon was the only ones willing to stock that many bluray sets. Thats why im buying right away I don't want to risk a sell out.

The Agents of SHIELD S2 and Agent Carter DVDs are Amazon exclusive, too.

That I had not heard about and is quite surprising to me honestly. Either they sold very poorly at big box retail (Not a surprise at disneys asking price vs most other shows being $15 or so a few weeks to months later) or Amazon just wanted an exclusive for the fall. Either way still glad I already preordered. I hope they are not made to order honestly.

am I the only one that thinks Amazon is vastly over charging for both SHIELD season 2 and Carter season 1? The US prices for the blu rays are 54.99 and 36.99 respectively... I mean come on... I just placed my order for Once Upon a Time season 4 for 37.95. Now the UK prices on the other hand are far more reasonable, Shield season 2 is 25.99

Amazon has no incentive to lower the price though unfortunately because its exclusive to them.

This is my concern as well. I really hope this is a timed exclusive. As much as I'm dying to start season 2, I'm not paying $50+ for something that would normally be $30-35 during release week if other retailers were involved.
