The latestmost new LD purchase I had was 'Austin Powers' I believe and the sticker said $39.99 on it. It might have been HMV or something - generally overpriced always MSRP place. Likewise, from around the same time, I paid about $20-ish for VHS tapes.

Offline stores price gouge Bluray to death in Wisconsin or Minnesota ~ full retail like bluray in 2006. $22-$30 Rarely is bluray in the $5 bin and the movies in the bin are pretty bad movies. That saving is always seen on Amazon, Craigslist and Ebay lots. There is no bluray at the thrift stores in Wisconsin or Minnesota. Never see blurays at auctions.
