This FUN and CHILLING movie comes out tomorrow. I'm grabbing it at Walmart. Can't wait to watch it all over again.

I'm tempted to blind buy this, but probably won't because I've not liked a single M. Night Shyamalan since Sixth Sense (and I think that is overrated, too). Could make for a decent rental based on (semi)positive comments, though.

I will make a rare blind buy and grab this. I'm a "sort of" Shyamalan fan. The twist ending thing is old at this point but the guy is still a very good storyteller and I love how he structures his films (no quick cuts; very traditional, linear editing).

I watched the Blu-ray over the Holiday break. Hugely disappointing film, imo. I have to agree with much of what "rhwasc" wrote earlier in this thread regarding the negatives. I feel like Charlie Brown with Shyamalan's post "Signs" movies - every time I watch his newest movie thinking it will show some return to the level of his first few films, the football is yanked away, it's a turkey and I felt I wasted 2 hours of my life.

I also agreed with rhwasc. I don't see how people think this movie is even decent. IMHO, it is one of the worse movie of 2015. This will be the last movie I ever watch from M. Shyamalan. All hope is lost for this director.

I personally feel this movie is a step in the right direction, a turning around from his downfall and a move towards redemption. We REALLY enjoyed this film.

Totally. It's nothing great as a film, but I personally found it to be one of the most unpretentiously fun experiences I had in a theater all year. Slightly above average for the genre, it had some scares, some laughs, likable leads, and a chilling twist. I liked the atmospheric shots of the wintery outdoors at night too. It's certainly flawed, but it has to be the best thing Shyamalan has put out in years. I feel compelled to buy it when it drops in price.

My sister and I watched this at the theatre and were laughing so hard, we were in tears a few times.

There were scenes where we were the only people in the theatre laughing, but it was genuinely funny stuff.

I wouldn't call it the best movie of the year, but it was a lot of fun and well worth the time spent, just enjoy!

Rented it last night and enjoyed it, but not buying it. For me, the repeat value is non existent.

Finally saw it and thought it was okay. Honestly I didn't see the twist coming and for a moment
[Show spoiler] I thought the twist was going to be that the grandparents were aliens. Thank GOODNESS that didn't happened .

I enjoyed for what it was but I don't really think I will be watching it again but I hope that Shyamalan is back on his track and his next movie will be even better.

I bought it and re-watched it and enjoyed just as much the second time as the first. The second viewing allowed me to understand more of what we saw in the beginning now that I already knew the twist. I had a new perspective on it.

Total waste of time! I gave up on Shyamalan a long time ago but reading some decent reviews got me to check it out and all I got out of it was remembrance of why I gave up on Shyamalan in the first place. For those who like it cool but for me it was painful

It's not as entertaining as The Happening, but I too think it's a step in the right direction

I enjoy unintentionally funny movies

Just watched this. Have to agree with those that think this is another Shyamalan turkey. It was decent for a bit, but man that last half hour is total M. Night schlock. It's like the guy can't help himself from making terrible movies.

Is this worth seeing if I already know the ending?
