I wonder if he means USA Network. There schedule is just a couple days shy of the date posted, if it is indeed USA.

Thanks to whoever bumped this thread. Watching right now. I can absolutely confirm it has the Communion title card. So far it looks fine projected. Certainly a damn sight better than the Goodtimes VHS with the handwritten label I last watched this movie on.

EDIT: Gross fat guy's taint-stain was bad enough on VHS. Very worse in HD. It may be another five years before I watch this movie again, lol.

It had the Communion title card but it ran for 1hr48min. Wikipedia says that's the runtime for the original cut.

Update from Warner Archive Collection:

There are problems with the film elements on this feature which have precluded a planned DVD release, so that. no less a Blu-ray. We are trying to resolve the issues. Thanks

I'm from Brazil and the DVD was released for here. With a 5.1 portuguese audio by the way. I don't watched it because I'm waiting for the HD or Bluray version too.

Pre-order placed, didn't hesitate for a second. I wouldn't be surprised if this restoration is sourced from the same print I saw last year, it looks very comparable to what I saw. This film is an awesome shocker, a real highlight of 70's horror. I'm just ecstatic for this release. The only thing bigger than this is the upcoming Night Of The Living Dead, but I've already seen that theatrically and it's a movie I've seen a hundred times. I feel like celebrating.

Regarding the July 9th release date from 88 Films' page:

Unfortunately, the commentary track and alternative opening titles ("Communion" and "Holy Terror") from previous DVD releases don't appear to be on the new Blu-ray.

Still, the restoration looks amazing. Previous releases of Alice, Sweet Alice have always looked blown out in terms of brightness. Almost like the sun was shining right into the lens. It made the film look very anemic in color.
