There must be someone in the world that will just see the prequels during this marathon - at least one person!
Time to break out the cargo pants and sneak in some real food haha

I couldn't decide if I wanted to travel several hours, get a hotel room, etc. quick enough to grab a ticket, not to mention it being December and who knows what the weather will be like. But I did start thinking about the logistics of sitting in a theater chair all day. I would certainly have snuck in my own food. I don't buy theater food anyway. Haven't in years. It's gross, unhealthy, and expensive. So I'm going to have some friends over and we'll do Episodes 1-3 one day and 4-6 another day. More comfortable chairs, better food, and just as good a presentation, although not as big obviously.

I'd rather see just the Original Trilogy and The Force Awakens on the Big Screen.

I've never seen Star Wars, The Empire Strikes Back, and Return of the Jedi in a Cinema. But I really want to.

Same here.

But I'd really like to see the UOT on the big screen as I'm not a fan of the Special Edition.

My first kid is due on the second week of December so that's going to be a lot of what determines which movies/how many movies/what time I end up going.
Lol mine is due in two weeks which is why I cant do the marathon. So long waiting and it happens now lol.

Well, REALLY, you only have yourself to blame for that.

All you dudes *****ing about your kids being born in December should have been all...

Eh, I'm fine with it. Haha. But if he's a week late, then that could get in the way. So I'm hoping he arrives right on time, leaving me enough time to get everything situated and then head out for 16 hours at a movie theater.

Sadly, none of this stuff is predictable so I am at the mercy of nature as to whether or not a full day of Star Wars is in my future.

Lol it's called Return of the Jedi you should check it out.

Just wanted everyone to know I'll be skipping this marathon. And yes it's the usual; prequels suck, original trilogy or die, Lucas is a washed-up hack, I saw Star Wars in a drive-in for ****'s sake, etc...

I've seen every Star Wars movie in theaters except for Return of the Jedi. I was hoping the yearly re-releases in 3D would change that, but then they canceled that. And now they have this marathon....yeah I can't sit in a chair from 4am to god knows when Ep VII will end.

I don't like the rumors about Luke
[Show spoiler] turning to the dark side. It sounds like a Emma becoming the Dark One for the heck of it type of move (for those that watch OUAT).

A cinemark in Monterey, CA has some seats for the Star Wars Marathon. if you live near by. you can still go. good luck.

1700 Del Monte Center, Monterey, CA 93940

Hello Jacob,

Thank you for inquiring about the Star Wars marathon. So far we’ve sold 40% of the tickets for the marathon. The earlier you get here the better as it is first come first serve for seating. Just a reminder that you are allowed to dress up, however, we ask that you not wear face masks or face paint. We also ask that you not bring in any toy weapons. Hopefully this answers the question you had.

Thumbs up

Not happening here and while my affection for SW has depreciated substantially since 2010, I would've at least considered going due to the magnitude of this event.
