Good price, especially after selling the digital codes for around $8.

I ended up getting the regular blu-ray at target as well. I didn't even see the best buy exclusives at my Best Buy. That place has really went downhill the past couple of years in terms of carrying decent inventory.

I don't see this season staying $34.99-$39.99 for long, considering the negative attention/reviews it received.

Expect it to drop to at least $19.99 by February or March.

Is it just me, or did HBO kinda skimp on the video quality on this one? I kinda feel it's a little jumpy, some stuff looks great, but other scenes seem quite soft, or appear as if they're a little out of focus...

Got this through the Hastings 5/$20 sale. Kind of an unfocused mess, but it's worth a watch.

Needed more scenes like The Rose karaoke dream sequence.

I tell yah...this season gets better each time I watch it.

I've never thought much of Vince Vaughn as a dramatic actor, but his performance gets better and better with each viewing.

...I kind of think he killed it.

The only performance I flat-out don't like is the one by Rachel McAdams.

All of her dialogue/facial expressions seem forced and unnatural.

I just do not buy her in the role of a hardened, rough and tumble detective for a single moment.

But overall, this is a great season of television imo.

Just not as good as the first season.

Did they release a non-digipack/non-steelbook case for season 2? Would rather have a blue case inside a slipcover to match my season 1 if one exists. Thanks.

Since HBO just made S3 official, I will hold off for the S1-3 set.

With Pizzolatto writing and directing, plus Mahershala Ali in the lead role...I'm all in!

Does anyone have one of the special slipcover editions of this that they'd be interesting in letting go? I've been trying to catch one on ebay for ages, with no luck. Hate that I missed it when they came out, as I was a pretty staunch defender that the second season was pretty good, actually (and I feel like that opinion has been vindicated with time lol).
