Default Complete version

The German release also stated on the cover Complete Miniseries but had the 2 scenes missing.Hopefully this is not the case with the U.S. release. Doesn't say anything about being remastered as the Australian version and Spanish (2nd edition) do.

I would think it's hit or miss if we get the two missing scenes from Shout Factory. This is just informed speculation on my end but we'll see what kind of elements they dig up for BD.

Best case scenario; the 2 scenes are there as bonus features.

Do they respond in facebook if we ask?
Maybe they don't know about the missing scenes and we draw their attention to this matter?
I mean Spain released the 2nd version after complaints of the customers I think.

Wow, that is great news!

I finally broke down and bought the Mexican blu-ray release late last year. While the video is much better than the DVD version that I own, it's still understandably soft and leaves a lot to be desired. Like everyone else - I hope this gets better treatment. I'm thankful that at least it's finally being released in region A - and I'll be buying it regardless!

Has anyone noticed that the spine of this Bluray has the itv studios logo, the same one that is on the back of the CUT Mexican release?

I have had the VHS version and currently have the DVD set. Will gladly upgrade to the BD version.

Shout is going to use whatever ITV has in their possession and whatever master ITV has produced for HD. There's not going to be a lot of "digging" for unaired scenes if ITV doesn't have them. The mini-series is owned by ITV, it makes sense their logo is going to appear on it as this is the reason Shout has access to releasing it.

We can hope for the best, but it's more likely than not Shout is going to release the same master ITV has licensed out for release around the rest of the world already.

There are 2 versions released in the world on Bluray!
One with 2 scenes cut (Mexican, German, Spanish 1st version Blurays), and one with the 2 scenes back in (Spanish 2nd Version, Australian Blurays).
That's the version we want and hope SHout releases.
That's why there is concern which of the 2 versions it will release.

That said, if this is the cut version, I'll buy the Spanish 2nd version.
(although it doesn't have subtitles).
I don't think there would be a chance for another uncut Bluray.

The 2 scenes missing were aired and appear in the DVD and 2 foreign blu ray releases. Judas has an audience with Zerah the Scribe and the following scene is the beginning of the Last Supper.

I just made a post at Shout's facebook about releasing the uncut version.
If you care, you could comment on that, so as to show that most people are interested in the uncut version!

On a positive note, I saw the reply they gave to someone else and this release will have English subtitles, for anyone that was interested in them like me!

If I'm not mistaken, these aren't "unaired" scenes but rather scenes that were for some reason mistakenly left out of certain video releases.

Ah! There are two Spanish versions. That explains why I've come across conflicting information about whether the Spanish release is cut or not. Is there a way of telling them apart without watching the discs?

English subtitles would indeed be very useful.

I have the Mexico and Spanish version (corrected 2nd run) and with the Spanish version being complete and quite good I'll still be interested to see how this one turns out. At least having the Spanish version it takes the pressure off whether or not this one gets screwed up.
