It's too bad Harry didn't have the story as a headline about Blu-ray on the site, I visit the site daily and I didn't know anything about Harry finally getting a Blu-ray player. What I would really like to know that he didn't include in the article is whether he bought the Harry Potter series on DUD or Blu. I bet he's heard the same information as us and bought the Blu Potters.

Harry's finally seeing the light is actually a pretty good symbolic victory when you think about it.

After looking at his picture, is it just me or do you think Harry should change his last name to "Palms"?

HK is a joke.

I remember reading his post about why he bought (given) a DUD player and why the DUDDERS were going to win. One of the most ignorant posts by a so-called "expert" in the history of HDM.

Anybody that listens to anything this guy says....

So if Harry posts here does that mean we can say that the 30th anniversary DVD of "Night of the Living Dead" is one of the best releases ever?

I think Bill Hunt maybe a comment about this a while back, simply saying, Harry, stick with what you know, movies, NOT home video.

Who cares if he is a Johnny come lately he is now endorsing Blu!! That to me is even better than a guy who has been blu since the beginning. Means he tried it, liked it, and now endorses it after being in the red camp all this time.

Perhaps I should have my own site like he does, I a bright and I am sure I am a lot more pleasant on the eyes than he is.

Good point. If he used to support HD DVD, and not supports Blu-ray, it just goes to show you where the market is headed. We must embrace these new comers to the Blu-ray fold with open arms!

What are we going to be talking about next year when the format war is over?
Anybody given that question any thought?

I predict lots of complaining about why [insert favorite movie here] isn't coming out on blu-ray, and plenty of threads about how to convert the masses from regular DVDs. Pretty much what happened in the early days of DVD... it's not going to quiet down as much as you'd think.

Yup, my grandparents just bought their first DVD/VCR player (it is a recordable DVD, mind you), but they do not use the DVD player that much still. They do not know how to record on the DVD player and I dread trying to explain to them how to record on it. The two of them have a hard enough time trying to keep their satellite remote functions straight.

And regards to the format war part, yup DVD will be a long, hard war to fight, but as it has been stated: a good many consumers are waiting for the currect war to be over to purchase a high-def system.

Scary isn't it? I'm doing my best to get my friends and family up to the latest technology. I had to "push" my mom into DVD, and it looks like I'll have to do the same for BD. My Dad still has one of those combo players, too funny! My VCR is going to the Salvation Army this year. I can't even say if anyone THEY give it to will use it.
