Held off in buying this. Glad I did. Now I just hope it comes with the 3D disk as well.

Excuse me as I have to go dump more chum in to the water. Red meat gets everyone excited. Now to see what I can reel in.
what a load of garbage

For ****'s sake, people. I may not agree with worldchmps but there's nothing at all wrong with his opinion. Seems like anybody who voices criticism for Fury Road gets ridiculed.

I am not a Mad Max 4 aka Mad Maxine fanboy, but his rant was nonsensical. Hence the response...

Also this thread is the wrong place for a rant about the quality of the movie. There's a movie thread in the main forum or at a push there's the original blu ray thread for Fury Road. To come into this double dip thread and randomly start slagging the movie is just trolling... IMO.

To help support your argument could you do us all a favour and name all the other movies with guitar players on the on trucks that look like a scene out of an 80's movie?

George Miller has said that the reason he wanted it black and white was that the film is basically only two colors anyway, brown and blue. The black and white fan edit is easily found and I'm not going to lie, it's ****ing gorgeous. I don't like the complete lack of dialogue in the fan edit myself though and I hope that's not what they do in the bluray.

I'd LOVE a black and white version (already tried it myself at home). The movie's plenty contrasty as it is, but bumping that up even more would work wonders for a true B&W grade. Count me in!

I've got him on ignore for a reason, and I did it well before this thread came along.

I'm personally interested in hearing just a thematic version of Fury Road. B&W, no voices, just music that goes along with what is happening on screen. Bring it back to the era of silent films with a live orchestras playing along with the film.

Up next -- Mad Max: Fury Road: The Silent Film Version!

*I'll be sticking with my plain old original BD release, which was more than enough for me. One of my favorite action films in a long time, and I'm plenty satisfied with the color version. Plus I despise double-dip ploys like this, even though I "get" the reason they do it.

There is a top review on Amazon that warns people that the studio was going to double-dip the film because Miller made this version and it wasn't included on the normal Blu-Ray.

I was planning on holding out but I liked the film too much and it went on a flash sale on Amazon for $10...
