Saw Deadpool last night, brilliant movie, very funny with some great, fast paced, violent action. They really nailed Deadpool's character, also Collosus and Negasonic Teenage Warhead were great additions to the movie.

Hopefully Deadpool can make a few cameos in future X-Men movies now, they can save the F bomb (which they seem to have in each movie now) for Deadpool instead of Wolverine.

Got the Zavvi Steelbook pre-ordered, cannot wait for the blu-ray now to see the Unrated cut.

Why is Kermode so apologetic about liking this movie? If it's a great movie, just say it.

Saw this yesterday.

It was solid, but not an instantly superhero classic like some people are suggesting. Some stand out moments, almost everything with Wade within the Deadpool costume was brilliant and they totally nailed the character perfectly. The overwhelming feeling i felt leaving the cinema was how much i wanted to watch Kick-ass again.

However I see to be in the minority, maybe its because i've spent the last couple of months watching nothing but stand out awards season contenders.

I thought it was a solid 5/6 out of 10 nothing special but i did enjoy the odd moments of it.

Saw this yesterday with the GF, shes not into comic books movies but she was laughing the whole time. We both really enjoyed it. The opening sequence was awesome and really funny as well as the end credits with the cartoons and the 2 extra scenes. Cant wait for the Blu-ray. Is there an unrated Cut coming out? Day 1 purchase!!!

An alternate cut and/or some decent extras, are the only things that would tempt me to buy it.

I mentioned that I hadnt seen Deadpool yet. I didnt like the look of it from the trailer (which is not always indicative of the film of course as in Dredd for instance).

Seems like you dont like the film though after all that! Interesting that just about everyone else seem to love it?

And I have seen some Marvel films...unfortunately.

Oh don't get me wrong, it was enjoyable. The ticket was worth the money, but it joins a growing list of recent movies that I have no inkling to ever see again, albeit in its present form.

It just made me want to watch Blade and Blade II again.

Watched it on saturday and while I'm not into superhero movies/comics (there are some exceptions, though), I absolutely loved this. Will definitely be getting bluray at some point.

Ah right. Well Im only being honest (not trolling!) that the dialogue in the Deadpool trailer annoyed me. And if its anything to you, I love Blade I and II (in my collection!) so yeah maybe Ill just stick to them!

Might see this tonight, dubbed in Italian.

Is it as good as Dredd?

I would say Deadpool is not quite as good as Dredd but still well worth seeing

They're very different in tone, focus, goal, narrative, etc

Effectively Deadpool is an irreverent, parodic but in the end traditional comic book origin story and I laughed all the way through
