Or not, if Apple didn't like the way he / they were portrayed.

Debating whether I should blind-buy this at $20 or wait for the price to drop. Any predictions on how fast this will drop. I am a big Coen bros fan so not worried that I won't like it.

I paid a straight $19.99 at Bull Moose ( no taxes, free shipping on $30 orders). Mine should be here Monday too.

I think its cause most seem to prefer UV over iTunes digital copies. Sometimes I cant even sell the iTunes codes & just give them away.

Nope.

Still don't like the result. Shame that period pieces nowadays have to look stylized.

The point was to make it look like a film from the period, large amount of direct light was utilised, etc. And it's not just nowadays, the trend was popularised by the Godfather.

Actually, we can go back to the very beginning of natural colour and it was already stylised. Was Gone with the Wind natural?

Default No UV copy in mine!

Disappointed to discover my copy bought from amazon didn't have a UV copy voucher. I wonder if this is widespread or if I just got "lucky".
I emailed Universal home video, we'll see what happens.
On the plus side it comes in a really hefty blu-ray case and the movie is still hilarious.

I highly doubt it. A huge amount of light was needed for Technicolor. There were three strips of film running through the camera at the same time. It was black and white film, but was split by a prism in front of a filter that included cyan, yellow, and magenta. To expose all three, carbon lights had to be used. It made the sets incredibly hot. MGM had to have their fire crew nearby just in case something decided to burst into flames. Three strip Technicolor was overly saturated, but produced great looking images.
