Drove me nuts, both the anachronistic music choices and the garish, smash & grab editing.

Nicole Kidman looked awfully hot in it, though.

Also any movie that has animals getting hurt. When I watch John Wick I fast forward through that scene.

I've seen a lot of horrible things in my day, violence and animal abuse is something I cannot stand... mostly because I suffer from PTSD, I just lose it if I see stuff like that.

I will ALWAYS watch ANY film despite my sensibilities. The experience of exposing me to commentaries and themes of a nature that I have certain negative opinions about can further my understanding of how said opinion fits into my personal ideas on the subject matter. In most cases, that material only helps me to further solidify my opinions and better equip me to discuss them beyond "it's just wrong."

I like the first half of the film, once it becomes serious it kinda loses me. Still one of the few musicals I can still all the way through though.

I'll watch just about anything, but biased Christian films. I love Ten Commandments, other classics, but the films that force it in there and I can't, nope no way. A few minutes in and I'm done. I hate sitting with people playing on cell phones while watching a movie then wanting to know what happened. Not me, get stuck watching these films at friends houses sometimes, I'm zoning out with my phone and I will not be asking what I missed.

Sadly, that's been my experience with many faith-based films as well. I did like "God's Not Dead" though, and am looking forward to the sequel. I'm also excited for "Risen", which hits theaters tomorrow.

I suggest Saving Christmas if you want to watch one of the worst offenders of this to the point you can't help but laugh a it.

I haven't seen that one, but its mostly due to my perception of Kirk Cameron's ministry approach. My stance is "don't clean the fish before you catch it", while he often seems to do the opposite.

This is the first time I've heard NBK be explained this way. If I can catch it on tv may give it a second try. Still disagree with you on Scarface.

Film I've watched but don't care to ever watch it again is Nymphomaniac. It is a interesting film that portrays the issue in an honest way I think. Is well acted and good script with good production value. Am glad I saw it but never again.

E.T., and Jaws. I've tried watching the first 30 mins or so of each film, but I can't get through them.

There's some Spielberg stuff that doesn't click with me at all, such as the above, but there's other of his films, such as the Indy trilogy, Schindler's List, JP, etc, that are some of my favourite films. Quite a strange one.

Oh, and I've not seen any of the Fast and Furious films.

I hear Jeepers Creepers 3 might be being made, but I won't be watching it, nor have I watched any of Victor Salva's other films after JC1 and 2 after I found out he's a convicted paedophile.

Any Wes Andersen film ... seems like I'm the only person alive that doesn't love his sensibilities. Also ... I have not seen any avengers film .... I'm super heroed out.

There are films I avoid every year just because I think they look bad and such, as for older films, I have never had any desire to watch The Sound of Music. Like I'm not against musicals or anything, in fact I quite like them, I just can't say I've ever been bothered about seeing this film. Same goes for Gone With The Wind. Other than that, I can't think of any classics that I outright avoid, just ones I haven't gotten around to, and haven't gone out of my way to watch.

Avatar - just doesn't appeal.

Eragon - my friend tried to get me to watch it years ago, but fantasy films like that don't really appeal.

Casablanca - just haven't seen it yet and haven't been busting too.

Gone with the Wind - same as above.

The Wizard of Oz - same as above.

Super 8 - just didn't appeal.

The Amazing Spiderman/The Amazing Spiderman 2 - having a reboot done so quickly put me off, then hearing iffy things about the sequel. Then it all got cancelled for another reboot.

Captain America: The Winter Soldier/Avengers 2: Age of Ultron - I'm not a huge fan of Marvel so I'm not really that bothered.

The Seven-Ups - only discovered its existence late last year. Now pre-ordered the blu-ray due out in March in the UK. Spiritual sequel to The French Connection and I do like Roy Scheider.

Dark Crystal - I don't know why! Probably the only big 80s movie I never saw!

Total Recall Remake - the first one was great thank you very much.

Robocop Remake - I'm tempted to watch it on Netflix now, but the original remains one of the best films ever made imo. In other words, I'm expecting disappointment.

Probably loads more, but my mind has gone blank for the moment.

To each his own and everyone is entitled to their own opinion, but you are missing out on some of the best movies ever made. Singin' in the Rain is not my favorite just because I don't generally enjoy musicals. But everything else on that list is fantastic.

If you are able, try to screen Gone With the Wind, Ben-Hur and Lawrence of Arabia in an actual theater on the biggest screen possible. The sheer size of a true big screen is crucial, especially for the last two.

I'm with you on E.T. -- it hasn't held up well. And in general I'm not a Spielberg fan. Some of his movies, though, are absolutely brilliant, like Schindler's List, Munich, and ... Jaws. I was 7 or 8 when I saw Jaws in the theater. Man ... that movie. Freakin' brilliant!

No, you're not the only one. I can't get into Wes' films either. Though I have promised myself to give him another chance sometime this year. Because it seems like the sort of stuff that would really appeal to me. But ... I just don't know.

Same here; the trailer reminded me more of X2 than anything else. Even now, I often call the movie "Land of the Nightcrawler People".

You might find my thoughts interesting, from when it originally came out...
