Thanks for heads up. Any idea if its coming with complimentary UHD titles included?

I've seen someone mention that they got one along with The Martian, though whether this means it comes with the player or they bought it, I'm not sure.

No Samsung 4K players in Hobart yet - they were expecting them to arrive during the week. The Fox titles were out the back, two of each.

Went to the JB HiFi at Centenary shopping centre (Western Suburbs of Brisbane) to buy a copy of Deadpool 4K. Asked the dude for a copy, as I thought they were only out back. Guy pointed me to a UHD BD display! Got the last copy of Deadpool 4K.

There was a Samsung UHD BD hooked up to a 4K LG OLED display at JB HiFI. I got to watch the start of X-Men: Days of Future Past on 4K BD... It looked unbelievably good. Could not get over the fine detail, you could see the rough texture in the keloid scarring of the scar on Bishops face, skin imperfections on Kitty Pryde, the level of detail on the sentinels and Iceman. Wow!

BD salesperson could not tell me when they would go on sale. I heard October was when Panasonic was releasing the first players, despite news from Samsung. But wait a minute. Hold the phone: Samsung weren't bullshitting us.

Checked for stock in my area... All good. I assume they will be in stores this weekend.

Yep! I got a txt this morning from JB advising that my UBD-K8500 was available to collect today. I'll be heading down there shortly to pick it up!

Was this Mt Ommaney? This JB is my local, the movie people (except for the one with glasses) are clueless on most things.

Yep. Was the Mt. Ommaney JB HiFI. Some don't seem to know shit about a lot of their TV & BD player tech; that would normally would only take about 1-2 hours research on the internet, to gain more than a rudimentary understanding...

I am definitely surprised they couldn't tell me Thursday, they were going to be selling UHDBD players Friday.
